not shocked at all by the way we played. Bama is really good, and we are the most "banged up" team in college football. Also our back up LBs are not experienced or aggressive enough to stop an offense with so many weapons. They have zero ability to shoot the gaps and shut a running game down. Everyone is taking a big dose of humble pie, and finally understanding how important JRM DK, CM, CS was to the D. Next man up, and everything is going to be ok, right??? thank god for a bye week, still a lot of work to do in order to get into the SECCG. GBO

We're not that bad - and they can't be quite that good.

WTF happened?

KIRKLAND would have made a 150 yard difference if he was 100 per cent and R-M would have taken off another 150 . It is what it is- Linebacker play was really bad.

Injuries to go along with recruiting busts

^^this. We have had injuries but we usually tend to overlook the recruiting busts. We've had several big time recruits that are rarely heard from after signing day. I don't know if evaluation is a problem or if we can't develop them.

I have to agree with this 100! Elliot had his good moments but other than those few good plays the linebackers were non existent all day..

I should clarify, most of their yards up the middle came in the second half. In the first half, they were beating us to the edge. Their receivers were doing a great job blocking our corners and our linebackers couldn't play sideline to sideline

Penetration stops this as well and is necessary. It's why chip Kelly Oregon teams couldn't beat sec teams, the DLine played in the backfield. How you can give the DLine a pass right now is beyond me. Also Georgia and aTm were getting huge chubks of yards between the tackles.

It's not injuries, it's better players for the opponents. We can beat Vandy and Kentucky (most years), we can't beat Bama/UF/GA most years because it's all about the talent on the field.
