I don't think Nash could care less about playing in a game. As long as he is getting a free education, I am sure he is fine with that.
Being on the U.T. team is probably more than he ever expected. Nash probably expected to play at Valdosta State, at best. So, his friendship with Rogers has helped him.
UGA probably felt that they didn't have to get Nash as a package deal and that UGA had other capable receivers to offer. Dooley probably offered Nash as a package deal and that was probably the deciding factor between U.T. & UGA.
I don't see Nash transferring on his own accord. The only way that happens is if he is strongly encouraged to do so.
Pretty sure he was going to Vandy before Rogers committed.

That's not a Saban thing that's the American way! If you can't perform better keep eyes in the back of your head. That's the way it should be IMO.

Not going to disagree but the NCAA has to change the rule. Winning is pretty important for those coaches. What the NCAA allows they are condoning! Change has to come from them not the coaches!

if they deserve to be in college they can get a student loan and finish school. plus Milton will get picked up by someone, and given a chance.

I agree. If you recruit a kid & he puts forth 100% effort & doesn't get in trouble & just doesn't pan out it should be on the coaches that recruited him & his scholarship should be honored.

There is a new interesting twist to NCAA rules regarding scholarship renewals. Schools can have kids sign the NLI the same as they do now with the understanding that its a one year renewable deal or (this is the new rule) they can sign a financial agreement that is for 4 years. Most schools won't do the latter because they won't give up the freedom we think has been evidenced today. It will be interesting to see if your lower third schools of the conference will use it against the big boys to win in recruiting.

If you can't make the school money you don't deserve to be in college. Is that what you trying to say...

There you go.

Nash was committed to Vandy for a long time. Nash graduated high school with excellent grades. Very good student and a very good kid overall. He'll do well wherever he ends up.

He's smart enough that he cannot possibly have misunderstood what the story was when he got an offer from Tennessee. We were so thin at QB that we actually needed a couple of bodies to run practice (e.g. Nick Lamaison (sp?); we also wanted his best friend. A serendipitous package deal for us. Surely he can't be disappointed in the way it's turned out for him.

no, I'm saying if you can't make the grades you don't deserve to be in college. there are plenty of ways to get money for college if you deserve to be there.

So if you're like Inky Johnson & have a career ending injury your scholarship gets revoked?

yea thats what I'm say:loco:..... of course thats not what I'm saying. Orangepit said that these guys careers was being ended by this, and I said they could get student loans and finish school if they deserved to be there. Injury is different than breaking rules.

Guys like Inky stay on scholly but don't count against the 85. I think its called an unable to perform scholarship. NCAA allows for that

So it's favoritism? Better players get more chances than guys coaches deem as expendable?
