For you Foolmer Fools that think the impossible can't happen, think again. This game was in Austin Texas on Sept. 1st and the Longhorns were ranked #4. Arky rushed for 125 yards and passed for 272 yards. Look for the Vols to go 1-3. Hamilton will be forced to make a statement after this debacle. Foolmer will say "stay the course" and the checks will keep coming.

It could happen, but I doubt it. If it did, well I'm not going to even think about that right now.

Texas is a top 10 team, though I don't know how much longer. Bottom line, they played their ranked opponent much better then Tenn did. They are just as hungry for a win as UT is.

There's a rumor that if the unthinkable happens, that Hamilton will relieve Fulmer and name Cutcliffe interim coach. Though hard to believe it will come to that.

The only other time I pulled for the opponent was vs Vandy in '05 so we didn't qualify for a bowl. That team didn't deserve to go to a bowl. It is time for a change in Tennessee and if $6 million will do it that is chump change for the doners.

$6 million is chump change to the athletic doner base at UT. Believe me when I say that. That's a year and a half's salary at Bama.

Fulmer already tried replacing coaches after the 2005 debacle. That doesn't seem to work does it. We can't compete with the upper tier of the SEC. 59-20 is an embarrassment. Fulmer is still coaching like it is the 1990's. His time has come and gone. Start looking for his replacement and don't make it Cutcliff.

Texas is not a very good team right now; albeit we aren't either. Texas doesn't run well, their secondary is terrible, coaching isn't great, lackluster play, etc. (sound familiar) The different is the best team they've played to date is not even as good as the worst team we've played.

If Ark St had played USC, LSU or Oklahoma close I would be much more worred.

As bad as we are right now, I don't see us losing this weekend.

You don't have to convince 95% of us that Fulmer's time has come. You need to work on Hamilton, Thornton, Haslem, etc. and/or cease giving financial support to the football program until a change is made.

anyone can beat us....a one dimensional team needs one defensive scheme.....watch Florida's tape all week, Arky...very simple. we better mix it up, we could fall off the face of sports and land on notre dame....the bottom.

I think along with just about everyone else that a change needs to be made, yet there has never been and never will be a situation that I will pull for an opponent over UT. I remember that Vandy game in '05 well and was thinking if we lose changes have to be made. Then I remembered we have (had) one of the longest consecutive bowl appearences in cfb history as well as the 2nd longest win streak over an in-state rival (behind PSU) and now both are gone. Did us losing to Vandy help in the long run? Absolutely not. Winning games cures a lot of hangovers, but being content in being an SEC also-ran should be enough to make some coaching changes.

I think I read somewhere that Mark Richt was trying to get Trooper Taylor, but I also read that Trooper had no plans of leaving Tennessee.

There is a 0% chance that Cut takes over for a dismissed Fulmer. If Fulmer is shown the door Cut will go with him. There is too much friendship between them.

Yup, Texas is NOT as good as they are ranked, however,...however... they have NOT allowed as many points as the Vols have. Defense, in short, is the difference. I cant believe I just wrote that....I HATE the t-sips.

and by the way, TCU, all things considered, IS pretty darn good. Again, not a fan, just saying.

TCU isn't bad, but I'm not sure they are better than southern miss.

Texas would get slaughtered by LSU, Florida & USC. Texas WILL get slaughtered by Oklahoma. It might not be that far off from what the gators did to us.

after living in Texas and hearing all the talk about them being the real "UT" I will never feel sorry for them

We should have beaten Texas! We gave them the game. INT in the endzone, another dropped pass in the endzone, 2 missed field goals.

That's funny. That's what I hear all the time in Knoxville, just the other way around.

Consider Texas the TN of 2000. We're over a year removed from our National Championship. One in which Vince Young masked alot of coaching deficiencies. We are currently alot more similar to TN than most people realize. The difference - as posted above - is that we haven't had to play Cal and Florida on the road. We definitely would have lost both. And, yes, we will get stomped by OU.

We have a good team --- we just have really bad coordinators. Our linebackers don't have a clue. Our passing game is horizontal. How does one average 6 yards per pass play?

Anyway, we haven't had years of misery ... yet. The only difference is that we like our Head Coach but hate the coordinators.

By the way, for those that don't know, Arkansas State got screwed against us. They were down 8 and recovered an onside kick. The refs called an illegal formation and gave us the ball. They admitted their mistake later in the week. ASU is not your typical ASU.
