The below is a quote from the "Gruden 4 Emperor of Tennessee" thread. Thought I'd toss it to the recruiting gurus. Any idea to whom he refers?

Tweet from Knox News Sentinel Sport editorial assistant and Staff Writer for TNVarsity.com Brad Pope about a recruit.

Well were doomed he if the kid is already talking to the new head coach were in trouble because all he is able to recruit is 4* players. We can't win with that.

This was discussed last night. That guy is not a legitimate reporter. Look at his other tweets. He's just a fan. The "recruiting articles" he's written are just recaps of publicly-available information and are on a site no one has ever heard of (likely his own site). I would be shocked if this guy had access to a recruit and if he does, he may have a letter coming from the compliance department, a la Sabanocchio.

Until proven otherwise, I think Hart is going to go with a more proven commodity. Hart realizes a less than exciting hire would have drastic consequences when it comes to filling Neyland stadium. Hart needs to knock this one out of the park. Even with our low reserve Tennessee had the 9th highest profit margin according to Forbes magazine in 2012. The money will be there if the right hire is made.

We are NOT going to settle for any 4* recruit ever again.

I have read where James Franklin is very interested in UT. Also Jimbo Fisher. I would take both. I want Gruden but I know that he is a short term fix because he will jump to pros.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought the topic was referencing the old 'Blind Date' TV show with Roger Lodge.

This whole thing is so reflective of society in general....NO ONE HAS A CLUE AS TO WHO THE NEW COACH WILL BE...yet we love to rant and rave (me included) and think we somehow have an inside word on what's going on...just remember...Saban, Petrino, and several others were hired at the last minute after spending copious amounts of time denying, deflecting, and deregrating the idea of changing jobs..How does that apply to us? I dont think Hart, Haslem or any other decision-maker will know 100% for sure who the next coach is until they step onto the infamous platform for the presser...Sooooo...lets just take the advice of Hart and sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride...but, alas, something tells me this will fall on deaf ears!!! UHHH...WHAT DID YOU SAY??? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!!
