Well considering its all conference games, after week one 7 teams had a loss so 3 unbeaten matchups in week 2 will get u 10 teams with a loss by the end of week 2. The real question is if anybody thought we would be 1/4 of the unbeatens headed into week 3.

Oh, I did. I was confident we would beat South Carolina and Mizzou. I think a lot of us were. Not the nega-Vols, of course, but a lot of us.

The question is, did any of us think, before the season began, that we might be 3-0 after the UGa game? I can't say I would've been in that group. But we might. We might.


EDIT: one caveat to that. I'm not sure I would've predicted there would be 4 teams left undefeated after two weeks. I think I'd have listed 5, including LSU. Miss State taking them down in week 1 was a surprise.

Why not? Did you think UT would lose to USCjr or Mizzou?

Tbh i wasnt sure about SC. It was the 1st game with alot of moving parts. Before the game i couldnt say it was a guaranteed win it was more like a toss-up.

I can see that. Anything can happen in the 1st game. But if UT is turning the corner they need to win those game...which they did.

I think alot of us believed but no one was certain. SC was the opener an while we all hoped for a W nothing was guaranteed headed to columbia. I will say the SC game gave me a confidence boost in regards to mizzo. I just knew both teams typically play us close. The way we won yesterday suggests we are farther along then I expected. I thought we would win a much closer game.

Some of us were certain. Or as certain as you can be with the game of football. I kinda-sorta even bet my house on it (okay, not exactly, but it sounds good when I put it that way) :)

we are off to a heck of a start beating teams that we should. After the 1st 2 weeks i think 6 wins is our floor and we have a great shot at 8-9 wins. One of those big 3 getting slayed. Not sure which 1 yet but we can definitely get 1 of those 3.

Bunch of people wouldn't have been surprised if we had lost to SC, I saw the posts, a few even predicted it in the pick the score thread.

There were some that wouldn't have been surprised if we lost both and would be burning up this forum right now telling us all about how they told us so, if we had.
