4 Possible QBs from The Portal

The question could be stated: If we continue to go portal shopping for QBs every season, what does that say ABOUT our QB recruiting ability and our QB development?

Not many 18 or 19 year olds can go toe-to-toe with a 23-24 year old, and they sure aren’t going to get developed by simply practicing and sitting on the bench.

But we have played some very young guys at other positions with the "they don't have time to be young" phrase being repeated over and over from Spring practice on.

They didn't have the benefit of sitting and still we expected SEC level play from them AND coaching up quickly from their position coaches.

I'm just saying.....

I dont think we bring in a "bigshot" portal QB that everyone is after. More likely we bring in a lesser known QB thats a solid veteran like Joey was. Somebody to push the young guys and be a leader in the QB room. GMac starts next year because he has a full year in the offense that Faizon wont have. Faizon redhshirts and then in fall camp 2027 theres a QB battle for the ages to see who gets to lead this team. Next year we are looking at another 9-3 type year with a much more difficult schedule than this past 2025 season. In 2027 we should have a real shot to make a playoff run though with all the talent from the 25 and 26 classes growing up and Knowles being in his 2nd season as DC. The future is very bright for our VOLS. The small % of this fanbase that want to fire coaches every time we lose a game or dont make the pĺayoffs suck balls though. They're a cancer to this site.

If you think we even sniff 9 wins, then you're just blinded by your orange tinted glasses. We will be lucky to go 7-5, more than likely 6-6. Our schedule is BRUTAL. I say we ride with what we have, get them experience and plan for 2027
