4 inches of snow (!!!!!) in Columbia

Fade, Fade, Fade... the IPCC is a scientific organization rooted in science which must fight constantly fight political pressures.

The Earth is 4.5 billion years old, btw.

Let's forget climate for a minute - it's a simple energy balance. CO2 absorbs infrared radiation and then transmits that radiation in all directions. No one would ever try to deny this. CO2 is increasing in the atmosphere (no one denies this), ergo more infrared radiation (i.e. heat) is being reflected back to the ground.

It's a simple energy balance.

There have been 3 volcanic eruptions in the last 150 years that have emitted more CO2 into the atmosphere than the combined efforts of all mankind since the industrial revolution. If CO2 is the guilty culprit, then those 3 volcanic eruptions are more responsible for the climate change myth than any human activity. Maybe you guys can figure out a way to tax the volcanoes.

You would be correct. I believe in a creator. You can make fun of me all you want for that too, but you are still the one siding with Al Gore. Take my advice on this for real-me following the almighty God, and you following Al Gore does not make me look like the stupid one.

No, rejecting evidence is what makes one look stupid. You're the one doing that, not me.

Heard on the radio in the car yesterday that milk is now believed to make bones more fragile.

Here is what I invision as a conversation between two global warming scientists

Hey, sure is cold outside today.

Sure is. I'm pretty sure its because the atmosphere at the lower levels is heating, which makes that air rise and forces the air out of the troposphere, which is super cooled, and that air is what is reaching ground level

Wonder what caused it?

Don't know, but it sounds good. Should get us another million or so for research

No, I'm saying that rejecting science makes you stupid. You can believe in God without rejecting science. I have nothing against religion.

So which is the right science?

The ones saying there is global warming or the ones saying there is no global warming?

It's almost like the climate is changing or something. Tornadoes in unusual areas. Snow in beach places. Hot weather in cold places.

Nahhhh I'm just going crazy again.

Couldn't have anything to do with warming and cooling cycles that have existed since the beginning of time.

The global warming conversation started when some important people said: "We've taxed everything else, how can we tax the atmosphere?"

wow this is result of blatant ignorance and a pretty bad joke.

It depends on your agenda. If you want to make a killing on selling electric cars you believe in global warming. If you believe man is not the cause of weather patterns changing since the beginning of earth, you do not believe in global warming. I wanted to know for myself, so I researched the stuff for a class in Contemporary Issues. My conclusions were it is a hoax. Several of the coldest places on Earth that have been measured in previous data were conveniently left off. Governments know that there is lots of opportunity out there to make money if it were true, so they have really propagandized this stuff.

Rejecting incomplete data that agenda based people create a inconclusive theory about makes one 'stupid'? Find me a missing link before you start showing your intolerance on someone that has a different opinion than you.

There is agreement among all scientist on climate change/global warning.

Oh, there is climate change for sure

Its whether man can control it is what the real question is

If its been happening before industrialization, then its not likely we will ever control it

I think that's the real issues. Its one thing the government will never control and it pisses them off

Really?

Enlighten us please with your perspective

I think your vision of scientist talking like that is out of total ignorance of the time and effort that scientist put to investigate and discover novel findings that we all take for granted.

Getting scientific funding is not easy. Less than 5% of grants that gets submitted to NSF every year gets funded, and >95% of them take numerous sacrifices to write.

I am intolerant of willful ignorance, yes. I won't even deny that.

Does taking a jab at 'Mother Earth' offend you? Do you meet with other Mother Earthers to discuss your philosophy?

Another example of over educated bean heads that put too much stock into what we actually control here.

But the ones getting funded happen to be the ones pushing global warming

Which happens to be what a lot of our government leaders have invested millions of their own money in

See, follow the money and you get your answer

So, as far as "climate change" goes, can anyone explain to me how Greenland got its name? Also, while you are at it, please let me know how England was a big wine producer before the mini ice age?
