He's good but not as great as he believes he is. He's not good enough to build a team around. Ever since picking him up, the team goes through long stretches where Joe-in-isolation is all they do -- and that's not good enough. His personality sucks and makes him very difficult to root for. Add in the contract and it's a disaster.

There was plenty of enthusiasm for the Hawks when I moved here. There's almost none now. Acquiring and then becoming dependent on Johnson was basically when it turned.

Between Iso-Joe and Josh Smith believing he's a threat from 3 point range, watching the Hawks will make you lose your religion.

The Hawks of recent years are the team of mine that I've least enjoyed watching, ever. As I said, it's almost completely joyless.

A chance to put the ancient Celtcs deep in a hole with their point guard out. Derrick Rose out in the next round. It was all lining up for the Hawks to have a shot at the Eastern finals and they gagged. Pathetic.

The best thing about having a superstar like Joe Johnson on your team is the way he's able to take over in crunch time of a big game when the team really needs him to. Inspiring to watch.

Sarcastic reverse jinx worked pretty well there. Totally flaccid quarter for Joe, then he scores 5 quick points.

Yeah, I don't really even blame the Hawks too much for this. They're not even playing that bad of defense. When the other team shoots like this there's really not that much you can do about it.
