When did the GOP pass out glasses that suddenly turned Russia into friendly allies with America's interest at heart? It's as if anything nefarious that Russia is associated with is met with guffaws and skepticism.

It's about the .01 percent that control everything Americans do, see and believe....

Intelligence gathered by the US security agencies indicates that Russian hackers were behind the intrusion first reported by the Qatari government two weeks ago, US officials say. Qatar hosts one of the largest US military bases in the region.
The alleged involvement of Russian hackers intensifies concerns by US intelligence and law enforcement agencies that Russia continues to try some of the same cyber-hacking measures on US allies that intelligence agencies believe it used to meddle in the 2016 elections.
US officials say the Russian goal appears to be to cause rifts among the US and its allies. In recent months, suspected Russian cyber activities, including the use of fake news stories, have turned up amid elections in France, Germany and other countries.
It's not yet clear whether the US has tracked the hackers in the Qatar incident to Russian criminal organizations or to the Russian security services blamed for the US election hacks. One official noted that based on past intelligence, "not much happens in that country without the blessing of the government."

Russia plotted to assassinate the prime minister of Montenegro and overthrow its government last year, conducted a practice invasion of Norway and threaten Sweden with war if they even thought about joining NATO. Oh and Russia stirring the pot in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Romney said Russia was dangerous and your party laughed at him. My how times have changed. All of a sudden the Dims are skeered of the boogeyman.

I still haven't gotten around to a good reason why Egypt is involved in all of this. Qatar sponsoring The Muslim Brotherhood seems like a weak excuse for Egypt to join in with a the KSA.

Russia’s sale of one-fifth of its state-owned oil company to Qatar and commodities giant Glencore GLNCY 0.83% PLC last year had an unusual provision: Moscow and Doha agreed Russia would buy a stake back, people familiar with the matter said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin hailed the €10.2 billion ($11.5 billion) sale of the PAO Rosneft stake in December as a sign of investor confidence in his country. But the people with knowledge of the deal say it functioned as an emergency loan to help Moscow through a budget squeeze.
