2009. UT was 3-4 after Bama then beat S. Carolina & Memphis to go 5-4.

I thought this was going to be something about our defense, but in any case, 4 wins at this point in the year is improvement. I believe that it won't be long until we're back to being Tennessee again!

2007 was the last time we were 4-3 after playing 7 games.

2007 was also the last time we went to the SEC championship game. :loco:

Yeah guys. My point is for the first time in years I feel like we are climbing

Pull back on those reins. We beat an over ranked SC team and should have beaten an injury plagued GA team. If we are with in 14 of Bama at the end then we are climbing.

South Carolina is a tough football team with the best D-line in the nation.

And we plagued Georgia with a lot of those injuries.

We are climbing.

So because we beat them, they're over ranked? You are the epitome of a negavol my friend. Jmo. S.Car is a good team and we beat them, period.

Went back and read some of your previous posts and no doubt you have negavol written all over you. Comments like "USCjr just overlooked us" and "spurrier just had an off day" and "looks like Vandy is still ahead of us" confirm it.

How about just giving our team some credit? If you can't see the improvement in this team (regardless of whether we lose by 100 to Bama or not) , you should probably find another wagon to jump on.

Wins through 7 games last 10 seasons:

2004 - 6
2005 - 3
2006 - 6
2007 - 4
2008 - 3
2009 - 3
2010 - 2
2011 - 3
2012 - 3
2013 - 4

Average 2004 - 2012 = 3.7
Average 2008-2012 = 2.8

No doubt we are turning it around.

169 post tells me he's new and possibly too young to remember a turn around or a troll

We are the biggest reason ga is decimated by injury. Sc was not over ranked. No body said anything about beating Nama just that it shows we are headed in the right direction for the first time in years

So we rolled with a 3-4 defense last year and went 3-4 through seven games. We switch back to 4-3 and start 4-3. Simple logic dictates that we should put all 11 men on the line next season.

Outside of Clowney, Bama would probably disagree. You make the judgment after tomorrow.

:lolabove:

We'll just use Dooley's LSU goal line defense all year.

We'll go 13-0.

You are forgetting Kelcy Quarles who is a big time player who will be an NFL starter.

3 tackles for loss against Mizzou.

Outside of one big play, that vaunted Mizzou offense was made pretty pedestrian by South Carolina.
