4-3 Defense

For you guys more knowledgeable about college defense and alignments and packages, why did we come out in a 4-3 then convert to a 3-4? Doesn't look like it even slowed them down.

Teams might base out of a 4-3 or a 3-4, but every team in the country has packages out of both. Regardless, our front 7 is playing well, but our secondary is lacking discipline and look like swiss cheese, which is sad because that is our Head Coach's specialty.

I’m impressed with the Vol D-line. They get really good pressure, but they aren’t getting any help from the secondary. The CBs have got to step up and make some plays. Too many open gaps over the middle as well. The talent is there, the plays aren’t unfortunately.

We couldn’t cover a turtle with a blanket !!! Omg why are we so soft in the secondary!!!!! This is maddening . No push from the front 4 every time we bring pressure they screen right to it. So frustrating. I say bench everyone that an upperclassmen play all the freshmen and sophomores and roll with the punches .
