I wish we would go hard at Rocky Lombardi in Iowa... Big frame and has wheels on him..... Tired of recruiting these pencils that can not power run at all.

Doubt we go after any of those guys, Bubba Thompson seems to be the only QB we are recruiting for the 17 class.

Honestly, I can't see any player successfully making a transition from that type of football environment to leading the vols out of the T in neyland. There were no stands for the crowd. Looked like kickoff was at 9:30 am. The field looked like it serves as the school's quad for outside lunch. It seriously looked like a pickup game with pads and helmets. And that's a prominent private school in CT. Just blew me away.

Probably worn down from lacrosse, field hockey and soccer which are bigger sports in CT.

Yeah Lewis is going to be dropped. TOS has basically said it's coming soon.

Maybe they will get Bubba Thompson. He's at least picked up another decent offer (Ole Mi$$) in the last few weeks.

Yep. C.J. Lewis is gone but if we don't get Bubba then we will have no QB for the 2017 signing class in which I don't think is a big deal. 2018 & 2019 are much more important for getting us a QB(s).

Does anyone think that Lewis is being recruited for his athletic ability rather than his quarterback ability? Like Juann Jennings for instance turning out to be our top receiver. Maybe they are telling him he's got a shot at qb but they want him as a safety or WR.

Lewis won't be a part of this class most likely.

Greg McElroy, AJ McCarron, and Matt Mauck weren't dual-threat guys either. Saban could take a three-legged dog and make a national championship QB out of him.
