On the one hand - It is truly a hump to get over for the mild-cats. They have taken us to the brink for 3 of the last 4 years and couldn't close the deal.

However - If you look at the competitiveness of the UT-UK games over that period and our performance so far - I for one am not chalking this one up as a win just yet. We will have to play hard to win this one.

I hate to say it, but this may be the year they do it? THey have hung with everybody else this year better than years prior....and they look good at times, but no matter what: I WANT TO BEAT THE CATS! Our team can't let them end the streak!

Being a combined 37-1 against these teams at this point last year didn't keep Ole Miss from delivering a beat down. Let's start with avenging that embarrassment and then win out.

I think that if we loose any of the games leading up to the Ky game we will be in trouble. If that game determines wether or not we go to a bowl then I like our chances more. We seem to play better in the "big games".

Unfortunately I was at the last game in Knoxville when the Vols lost. It was so damn cold we went home and watched the fourth quarter on tv. It truly was a "cold day in hell"......... GO VOLS!!!!

We have some hope but it would have been nice to get that LSU win then I would be more confident at this point. TN has to pretty much play perfect ball from the Ole Miss game on.

TENN needs to play perfect every game to win.

Good part about it is the 2 toughest teams out of those 4 we have at home (Ole Miss & Kentucky). It's definitely lining up for a 4 win finish...hopefully we don't make silly turnovers and keep one of those teams in the game.

Hopefully we don't lay giant orange-colored eggs in those games.

This is quoted from Chris Low....I can't believe how we have dominated those three teams the past 20 years.

This has to give us just a little bit of hope to be able to pull off a bowl game!!!:good!:

Wow. That is amazing. Considering that, you have to like our chances. It's not going to be easy, but the odds are definitely in our favor.

I know this i've said this about 3 or 4 years running but Kentucky probably has their best shot ever of ending that streak. This year is a no brainer, probably will have a good chance at a win next year also.

Andre' Woodson called.

He said something about counting poultry.

UK football fades in the stretch, just like the nags at Keeneland.

In my world Kentucky can NEVER be allowed to beat the Vols. I have 7 cousins that are UK alumni. I attended UT....I'm the black sheep. We moved to middle TN when I was 5.....TN is home to me.

Suffice it to say that I have 25 years of smack-talk to live down should we lose. I will be with many of these people on Thanksgiving weekend, and will be taking some of them to the game. I'm slightly nauseated by the thought of what I'm facing should we lose. God have mercy on my soul.....I could be entering a hell of my own making.

Relax, we're still Tennessee, and they're still Kentucky.

They will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, it's what Kentucky football does.

I was actually at the game the last time Kentucky beat us. We were inside their 20 driving for the winning score and Tony Robinson threw the ball out of bounds as time expired.... 1984, I was 9.

Sure did, What pi$$ed me off is he threw it all the way ACROSS the field instead of throwing it out at the nearest sideline. :banghead2:
