Just approved for Stadium. President, Trustees and other Powers that Be at UT need a gut check.

I wont embarrass myself and say the Haslams are behind this, because I like most of tweeters, posters, et. all don't know, but Currie is taking marching orders from someone.
And that someone or somebody needs to wake up.

A prudent and smart Trustee would be asking questions today about spending ONE DIME until they get a handle on what is going on. Currie's job is on the line OR should be. But so, should a bunch of UT's Administration.

This has risen to a level of being much more about hiring a Coach.

Put the 360Million on hold and put Black Curtains in the upper deck. That is all that will be needed until this mess is cleaned up..... :hi:

i was about to post this. A massive financial upgrade to facilities gets approved while Greg Schiano is the target for hire. This is a gut punch to donors, tax payers, and fans alike. A .500 head coach in college football, a failed project in nfl, and current coordinator is the guy who brings UT back?

This is how you pay for projects, and do business at Tennessee: 'Hello Jon/Chris/Gary/____ this is the athletic director from the University of Tennessee. We want to make YOU the highest paid football coach in America. We are confident that with your experience, expertise, and dedication to winning, we will raise the bar of excellence both on and off the football field. Our commitment to improving our team, the facililties, as well as continuing the rich tradition and incredible atmosphere surrounding this university is steadfast, and we believe that you are the person best fit to lead us toward a bright and successful future.'

its corny, sure, but make a huge out of the park homerun hire and that stadium face lift will pay for itself. No need for donated blood money with strings attached.

I would hope the attendance this Sat spoke as loudly as the tweets, message boards and a few hundred protesters?
