'30 TN QB Marshall Manning

Just as Archie did for Peyton, Peyton will let Marshall make his own decision on where to attend College ...
And people are making the mistake of thinking this kid has had the same experience as other kids.

His whole life he's watched his father be the best ambassador for Tennessee football. Peyton has given enough. So he damn sure will let his son make his own decision.

And he HE WILL. This dude grew up as a big part of Tennessee football in the background He's using every advantage he has to make himself better. Throwing to NFL WRs and doing work every summer to get better at QB from so young.

WHY? BECAUSE HE WANTS TO BE LIKE AND HONOR HIS FATHER. He knows it's his choice. And he's being very "take care of business" approach about this stuff. Like his father.
- Going to probably the best program in Tennessee. Baylor 1A and McCallie 1B it vice versa.

What I'm saying , is that this kid is locked in. He'll still be a kid relatively speaking - but remember Peyton. The dude was obsessive in his approach. Marshall has a mind of his own, but I can't help but feel like this dude wants to continue the SPECIFIC Manning legacy in Big Orange Country.
He's a chip off the old block. He's seen his father's path. He's seen the hard work and what it takes to be a legend. And Icon..
He knows that began at Tennessee.

Peyton LOVES Tennessee. His son has grown up around that affinity and it IS HIM.

Mannings play things close to the vest, but this kid will choose Tennessee because HE WANTS to be great at Tennessee and continuing to be a part of that special affinity but to another level! As a legendary player there in Knoxville himself.

Tennessee's lack of a state tax (while maintaining a surplus in its budget) and family-valuing sensibilities is attracting affluent families from all over the world right now. Peyton's investment in the failed Nashville WNBA franchise bid might also reflect a decision to make Tennessee home for many positive reasons.
I get that but Nashville vs Chattanooga, IMO, is a no brainer. Does anyone want to fly in or out of Chattanooga regularly which is what Peyton's lifestyle entails. He could get an estate in Franklin, toss the kids in somewhere like Brentwood, and never have to deal with the neon BS crap downtown unless he wanted to attend a Titans game. Does Peyton have a private jet?

Chattanooga is great if you like the outdoors but who the heck wants to fly commercially in and out of there all the time and change planes in ATL?

I think McCallie is not coed? Maybe Marshall's sister is going to Baylor too?

And he will probably get to play one year with Faizon Brandon.
What do you know.
Another "Brandon and Manning" at QB for The Vols 🧡.

Anyway, we won't know until at least 3 years from now.

Let's just sit back and watch as Heupel continues to build this monster in Knoxville that is Tennessee Football.

Actually. I think he ends up at Tennessee.

He’s doing the day school but he will eventually play for Baylor and Baylor has never been stronger than they are now.

Yeah Peyton has a huge legacy at Tennessee but his legacy as an NFL QB is even BIGGER.
So is Marshall going to hide from the NFL one day?

Marshall will be a VOL
For once i agree with you ;)

Peyton wanted to be like ARCHIE and HONOR his father as well. Why you making a big deal out of a comment that Peyton will let Marshall decide his path as his father let him?

You don't necessarily have to fly to Atlanta from Chattanooga anymore. Flights have expanded and there are direct flights to these cities now: Charlotte N.C., Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, New York, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and Washington DC. Chattanooga Airport — I Heart Non-Stop Destinations

was arch around ole miss or lsu as much as marshall at ut? I know Marshall was here a lot with peyton, so who knows maybe he wants to follow peytons legacy here

I like flying in and out of Chattanooga, not a busy airport and easy and quick to get in and out of. Nashville can be a pain in the butt and of course ATL is even worse. Also you can fly all kinds of places without having to change out in Atlanta. Tells me you don’t fly often or lately!

No direct flights to Denver, though, not that Peyton can't get a private plane as he wishes.

Word from folks after church in Chatt says he sold his lake house years ago but might quietly have a place in a gated Thunder Thornton development near the golf course Peyton owns or owned near Jasper and is somehow related to his bourbon which is sourced from George Dickel, supposedly.

He's got roots in TN, for sure, and his wife is from here so maybe he will shift his base.

I sure as hell don't fly out of Chattanooga. Why would I?

Edit: ATL isn't hard at all internationally now. Separate terminal is great.

Do you think the Mannings fly commercial as a rule? Depending on where I fly, Chattanooga is my favorite airport. No excessive delays. Security is never long. And plenty of hangers for private jets.

I don't know. I suspect, as he ages, Marshall can easily travel commercial. Peyton, not so much.

The issue with CHA is EXACTLY Peyton's lifestyle which has him flying a lot to various games and whatnot. If he's not flying private, CHA is not a very good airport. If he is flying private, any airport works. If he locates near Jasper or Sewanee in some gated community, I'd rather take a little private jet from somewhere than drive into CHA. I'm sure Tullahoma, given the air base and retired aviation guys, has a good private airport.

For individuals, CHA looks better than it used to for flights but 10 or so non-stop destinations vs over 100 for BNA and Lord only knows for ATL. It's not even close. CHA is a great outdoor, tourist destination but seriously if you fly out of there you're probably going to transfer to get where you're going.

Just for the love of goodness, if he were to go elsewhere, can we not be toxic about it?
That’s what people are afraid of, which is why they keep saying “it his choice.”

“Peyton wud let him choose”

“Be his own blah blah”

BVS

I’m not even worried about it all.
