I just don't get it.
Why all the talk about Santos decommiting?
The knoxville News Sentinel has a article with interview with Santos and mentioned that he was 99.9% sure and absolutely loved the hiring for DC. Was told that he would TN Hightower!
He is also quoted as saying that the only reason he is still taking visits in how often to you get a paid weekend to visit others colleges. So why not?
He is just playing the recruiting game.
I think, and my opinion isn't really worth a hill of beans, is that he is solid with the Vols!
He is also quoted in the paper as being excited about some of the other recruits coming to TN, bringing some swagger with them.
So why would he decomit if he said all of that. He has already made relationships with the staff and also fellow recruits.
Don't care what Hubbs says and definately not what Hyams saids,
Count it. This kid is solid for THE BIG ORANGE!!
Sorry no link but probally find the article govolsxtra..title 99.9%.

Well...there is no way you can deny the QB stock we have at UT...is it the same at UGA?...If I was a receiver I would be all UT
I agree with you about all the other visits, but Texas is a scary one. He's a lifelong fan, and has said before he would commit on the spot if offered. I just hope that he decides that he would rather be a 1st option than 2nd, and I hope he recognizes just how welcomed he will be here.
Texas usually gets their in-state recruits...it's just a scare game here for a week or so.
I agree, The only thing about Texas is yes, they get in-state recruits, but not usually this late in the game.
Usually they have their kids locked down by July.
Still think Dooley hired a good DC.
We will have to wait and see.
NSD Feb. 1?
The more that I think about it, I think that Bullard will not take a scholly this year, so that we can better the team, if we need one more spot to open up to take an elite talent. If Bullard could pay his way one more year (he pays in-state tuition), then he can go on scholly next year...we will have extra spots in next year's class because we will not be able to sign a full class. This would allow for Bullock to get a scholly, if that's what it takes for us to get him, and we would still have 3 open spots for the top 3 guys on our board...Kirven, Patterson, and Davis. Now, if Bullock is willing to walk-on (I know there's A LOT of debate as to whether he can or not, since he took an OV), then that would leave 4 spots to possibly add the big 3 and maybe briscoe or robison.
I think Sal's going to be great. I also agree about Texas normally being done by now. We'll see what happens, like I said though, here he's a potential player at LB. There he's at best an after though at LB, and potentially a convert to DE. They, of course, won't tell him that, but it seems to be pretty obvious to everyone else.

Bullard took an official visit to U.T., so he will have to be on a scholarship...... No question about that.
His name is ROBISON.I feel like there's basically 2 scenerios:
Santos stays and we add 2 of Kirven, Davis, Patterson, Briscoe, Wilson, and Robinson (probably 1 of the 3 WRs and 1 of the 3 defensive prospects).
Santos goes and we add 3 of the same group with a take of Robinson being much more likely without Santos.

Alex Bullard plays center for us. He DID NOT take an OV...he transferred from Notre Dame because of family sickness. He counts towards this recruiting class, if he takes a scholly this year...he WAS NOT on scholly last year. If he decides to not take the scholly in order to give us room for one more signee, then we will have another spot freed up. BULLARD AND BULLOCK are two different people. Bullock is the kicker from Knoxville who did take an OV apparently (for some stupid reason)...I have no idea what the rules say about that and whether he can walk-on or what.
Why would you want a guy that obviously wants to play for UT bad enough to pay his own way for a year to give a scholarship away to someone that may decide that they want to play for MichSU or Alabama?
Am simply stating what Bullard was quoted as saying and that was that he would not take a scholly if allowed the coaches to free up a spot to make the team better. Obviously the coaches aren't going to fill that spot w/ a 2 star but when your in on elite talent like we are and we have 3 elite prospects, then we may need that spot to better the team.
