Here are 3 scenarios I thought of for NSD, all with varying degrees of happiness/anger/disappointment. Many have mentioned endings like this so I can't take full credit

VolNation Dream Scenario

We keep all current commits, Bullock somehow walks-on and Bullard doesn't go on scholarship leaving us with 4 scholarships on NSD.

Add:

WR Cordarrelle Patterson
DT Korren Kirven
WR Quinshad Davis
DT Jacoby Briscoe

:pepper::pepper::pepper:

Realistic Scenario (my pick for what will go down on NSD)

We keep all current commits. Bullock and Bullard are both on scholarship in 12/13.
Add:

WR Quinshad Davis
OLB Chase Robison

This class would be solid considering we kept onto all of our commits with the loss of all of the coaches in the past month.

VolNation Meltdown Scenario Sponsored by Kermit the Frog

We lose Santos to Texas. We lose Peters (Arkansas) and/or McNeil (Ok St).
Add:
OLB Chase Robison
WR Demetrius Wilson
DT Tevin Bryson

Nothing has suggested that Patterson is still even keeping us in consideration, so, unless something happens unexpectedly on NSD, I think we lose Patterson to UGA, and [maybe] Santos to University of North Mexico (Texis). Hope we keep Santos though. I love what that kid brings to the table.

We are very much in it with Patterson. Hinshaw will be the last coach to do an in home visit with him as well. I would guess it's 50/50 between us and UGA.

I feel like there's basically 2 scenerios:

Santos stays and we add 2 of Kirven, Davis, Patterson, Briscoe, Wilson, and Robinson (probably 1 of the 3 WRs and 1 of the 3 defensive prospects).

Santos goes and we add 3 of the same group with a take of Robinson being much more likely without Santos.

The more that I think about it, I think that Bullard will not take a scholly this year, so that we can better the team, if we need one more spot to open up to take an elite talent. If Bullard could pay his way one more year (he pays in-state tuition), then he can go on scholly next year...we will have extra spots in next year's class because we will not be able to sign a full class. This would allow for Bullock to get a scholly, if that's what it takes for us to get him, and we would still have 3 open spots for the top 3 guys on our board...Kirven, Patterson, and Davis. Now, if Bullock is willing to walk-on (I know there's A LOT of debate as to whether he can or not, since he took an OV), then that would leave 4 spots to possibly add the big 3 and maybe briscoe or robison.

My vote is for K. Kirven and C. Patterson if we only have two spots. If we have three then I think we will add Robison to the class.

Lose Santos to Texas (or North Mexico)

Finish with Kirven/Davis/Robison

I agree with this, but it drives me crazy to think we might lose Santos! With that said, if we can hold onto each of our committments (and this coaching staff is putting in the work) AND pick up two of Kirven, Patterson, or Davis, I will be dancing in the streets of DC next Wednesday!!!

With that said, if Bullock deserves a scholarship, he should be placed on scholarship. And obviously Bullard deserves a full ride...he's the glue-guy on our offensive line. It'd be nice from a team standpoint, but why in the world would this young man give up a full ride?!? He is a starter, folks, and it is not going to happen.

I agree with your meltdown scenario. The only way I will be upset is if we lose a key recruit from our class in addition to Santos.

I couldn't handle losing a McNeil or Peters.

Maybe it's just my gut feeling with Patterson. I hope I'm wrong. It's probably because we've already got Hunter and Rogers and will have Howard as well. We really could use another phenom though with post high-school experience.

Best case- all committed sign with Vols.

Sign two more 4 star players

have 4 more 5 star players walk-on

We are talking about best case possible

Well...there is no way you can deny the QB stock we have at UT...is it the same at UGA?...If I was a receiver I would be all UT

Murray doesn't have the arm Bray does, but he's not bad. They also have the luxury of saying their QB led them to an SEC CG, whether or not they won it, they won the East with Murray.

In the stables, I have no idea what they've got.

Actually we are in his final three so I that we are very much in it for him.

I just don't get it.
Why all the talk about Santos decommiting?
The knoxville News Sentinel has a article with interview with Santos and mentioned that he was 99.9% sure and absolutely loved the hiring for DC. Was told that he would TN Hightower!
He is also quoted as saying that the only reason he is still taking visits in how often to you get a paid weekend to visit others colleges. So why not?
He is just playing the recruiting game.
I think, and my opinion isn't really worth a hill of beans, is that he is solid with the Vols!
He is also quoted in the paper as being excited about some of the other recruits coming to TN, bringing some swagger with them.
So why would he decomit if he said all of that. He has already made relationships with the staff and also fellow recruits.
Don't care what Hubbs says and definately not what Hyams saids,
Count it. This kid is solid for THE BIG ORANGE!!
Sorry no link but probally find the article govolsxtra..title 99.9%.
