Make up your mind. Either you have to beat UGA and Bama out for all those 5* recruits in order to compete or you don't.

You have repeatedly said that you cannot win championships with kids like this one. If you've changed your mind then truly that's great.

If he's truly a lock down corner, his height won't matter. I'd rather have him than a 6'3 guy that can't play tight coverage. It's the biggest thing in the secondary we've lacked is man to man guys.

6ft+ would be better, but he isn't short.

Height for a DB is always one of my peeves. If they measured to the shoulders it would be more significant. Not all necks are created equal but the top of head being further from the ground is not a big advantage. Standing reach would be a much better analysis tool than height. You compete for balls with your hands not your scalp.

You dont have to beat UGA & Bama for all of the 5* players in order to compete. You do have to be able to block their front. You have to have the ability to match up man to man. Whether the kid in question is a 3 or 5 star, he has to have the size, speed and strength potential. The skills and ability must be there, no matter if the kid is a high school phenom or an under the radar 2*.

How much more standing reach would you expect a shorter DB to have?:)
It is all moot if his coverage is lacking. If he can play tight man with the best, he will be a big contributor. We had no one consistently staying tight with BAMA or UGA outside WRs last season.
