1. Its getting harder and harder for DD to sell Tennessee to prospect coaches. I am talking about winners that have experience as coordinators. DD has had his chance to hire proven coordinators and has failed miserably.l

2. Boosters and fans are fuming. The media has also turned on DD. Recruiting will suffer. The kids were after wants to play for winners.

3. I spoke to a booster yesterday who told me the consensus was DD has been trying to learn on the job. This don't work in any conference and certainly not in the SEC. We will hire a proven winner IF we throw enough money ay them and I believe we will. Our program has become like the plague, nobody wants any of it right now.

I truly believe the powers that be have the same opinion as I on this. Better times are on the way. GO VOLS...

Did the booster say everything you mentioned in point #3 or did you add some of your own words in there. Not being critical. Just wondering how far the booster went in their words.

Two reasons why he will, Hart and Cheek.

I believe they both get steamrolled over if they try to prevent CDD from getting fired.

If he is retained, boosters should stop giving and fans should quit going to the games and they might as well shut the athletic programs down at UT.

Burn the stadium to the ground!

Basically said DD was in way over his head. Boosters are prepared to spend the money I really believe. Also know it will be a proven coach. DD will finish out the year unless a major catastrophe occurs.

Giving up almost 50 to Troy is most definitely a catastrophe

All 3 reasons in OP are legit, only problem is actually getting a proven coach to come.

No proven coach on deck= no coaching change

1. 0 for October (minus Buffalo) 3 years in a row
2. 0 for Alabama
3. 0 for Florida

My opinion on what is going to happen has changed. I think if DD wins 2 of 3, heads to a bowl and does decent....he ain't going anywhere.

I think DH will have a Hart to heart with DD after the season and they will make necessary changes on defense.

I'm calling it now: DD stays another year. He works on defense and looks at an 8-4 next year.

I'm not a DD fan (look at my posts in the past few weeks), but I have finally absolved myself from thinking through emotions and I believe this is where we are...whether I like it or not.

There's no way we go 8-4 with our schedule next year and with Dooley at the helm. Hope I'm wrong though

Maybe not. I'm being optimistic that we can turn around the defense.

I'm assuming loses to Alabama, Oregon, Florida, and Georgia. Truthfully, if we had a decent defense, we could have won the Georgia, USC, and MSU games this year.

Who else do you think beats us next year?

I'm there too. I will not spend another dime on UT football as long as Dooley is the coach.

It's not just about apathy, money, or stability, at this point. Dooley has to be fired because he has been so unbelievably bad that it's pretty much waving a white flag at the rest of the SEC if we retain him.
