I have just heard on channel 10 in Knoxville that three players on our FB team have been arrested and are being held on things like Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, etc. They are Foster, Wardlow and another whose name I failed to get. How bad is this?

The Fulmer Show comes on here at 9 this morning. Perhaps he will address this topic. It can't be good - the arrests were apparently about 3 AM this morning and, at this moment, they are still in custody. Good Lord.

I want to hear details before I start throwing kids under the bus. At first blush, it sounds like typical stupid college kid behavior.

let's not freak out, do you have any idea how many college kids run afoul of the law because they had to much to drink. Yes, I will grant you that they are in the public eye and the rep the school, but just remember these are still kids that just lost a heartbreaker at home. Just because they made a mistake doesnt mean they're bad people.

I think it was a typical college kid stunt...however, I have certainly been critical of other schools who have "selectively suspended" players for disciplinary problems. Charges are not convictions, however. But aside from legal issues, I assume team rules were broken, curfews, etc.

the timing is what really pains me, injury to insult, and let's have care because Im sure Fostermom is hurting right now.

We watched a great game and I was so proud of our players. Of course, mistakes were made but they played well. I wish the players would realize that we, the fans, can accept a loss when they played well but being arrested for drinking and disorderly conduct is ridiculous!! I thought the coaches had gotten a handle on discipline and hopefully, we wouldn't have any more U Thugs talk. I know they are young but self-control is important when you represent a great university. I hope there is more to the story and that they were wrongly accused.

typical young and college student behavior, but not on a night when you just got beat in one of the biggest games of your life when you KNOW the police aren't going to give you any slack.

i've taken part in many nights like this, as I'm sure many others have, but there is no reason to be acting stupid enough to get the cops called on you. It doesn't matter if it's that big a deal or not, either way they got arrrested, it's a further black eye, and it's disrespectful.

Kick all 3 of them off of the team. Goodbye. Zero tolerance for further ignorance. These guys don't care about the team so why should the team care about them?

Agreed...but with that said these kids need to do it durring the offeseason and not during the critical part of the season. :furious3:

I agree with NationofVols. I was in Miami after their "incident." The people there were very critical of the team. We won't face the same press as Miami did (caught on tape), but we will look like the 2004-2005 UThug again. I really hope they are suspended for the rest of the year. You cannot ditch your responsibilities because of "normal college behavior." These players ARE on a pedestal, and the nation watches. It's in Fulmer's court now, and he's got to show what kind of disciplinarian he is; whether all talk or action.

i have a feeling he will suspend all 3 for the rest of the year. you can't blame him he told them no tolerence. i think fulmer handles those situations really well. he is alot better than bowden or osborne.

All should be suspended at least for the next game. I dont care is Foster is the first string running back. No matter how you look at it, its still underage drinking.

They should be suspended for the rest of the season. I hate all this "well, they're just college kids" crap. I went to college and never got arrested. I mean, how do you manage to get arrested for disorderly conduct at a pizza joint at 3:00 in the morning?
