Half of all bowl teams lose. Butch Jones is 3-0 in bowls with the Vols. It is nice to have a coach dominant at bowl time. Going to be tough next year getting an opponent to sign up to play the mighty Vols at bowl time.

This right here is the truth. No matter what stats,rosters,recruiting sites,injury reports,etc. that you read or watch,the game takes a life of its own. Good or bad,strange things can happen.

Seven of our opponents finished in the top half of the final FPI rankings. Five won their division. Ten of twelve went to a bowl game. Teamrankings.com said UT had the 26th hardest schedule. Only Florida out of the East had it tougher. I threw that one in there to be fair. Unfortunately, Coach Mac is a good coach.

The useless Trolls and the legions of the Miserables have been on the pot stirring garbage they normally bring here since shortly after the Bowl game WIN.

If everyone would simply IGNORE all of them we could have a intelligent site with real discussions.

Besides many being Trolls the rest are negative minded, crave attention as much as air and love to argue even if their arguments are childish and boring.

For those of you still trying to blame buTch and our coaches for the loss at USCe here's the FACTS...

Josh Dobbs has taken 100% of all the blame for that loss.

Why you may ask?

That week Dobbs had a very important paper that had to be finished and handed in on time.

During the week before the USCe game Dobbs admitted he was in the library at least 3 nights until 2 AM.

He was tired, didn't prepare well at all and as a result played his worse game.

Dobbs has not and may never forgive himself for letting down our coaches, fans and especially his teammates.

I have HUGE respect for that young man for many reasons but especially for coming out with the truth and accepting the blame for that loss.

I wish him all the very best for the rest of his life.

IMO his school work and GPA are much more important than a football game but we all, including Dobbs, really hates another loss to musCHUMP!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all including the Trolls and the legions of the miserables!

Very responsible of Dobbs to shoulder the blame for his coach and 21 starting teammates. But wouldnt expect anything else from such an exemplary young man.

Could you explain why you think anyone who doest express your viewpoint is a troll, negative minded, craves attention, or loves to argue? Just becasue you are always positive does not mean you are always right.

Thats good info I guess, but I dont know what it means. In my opinion, we are 8-4 (reg) and most reasonable expectations.say we lost 2 games we should not have. So the way I see it, all this "clutter" above is supposed to make people feel better about the 8-4 record, whereas some want to view the 8-4 record as a negative because of potential. Either way you want to look at it we were 8-4 and nothing changes it. Not trying to be rude, just how I see it.

As for your actual reply, I didnt originally ask D4H if he actually believe what he was saying when he said we had a hard schedule because "How many other teams play 3 bowl team?" I asked if he actually believes that because nearly every single program in the entire country played at least 3 bowl teams.

He had a poor game but regardless of him shouldering all the blame that doesn't mean he's right.

That team had the east to still play for and was completely I'll prepared and out played coming off a bye.

The "clutter" wasn't meant to justify or make people feel better about an 8-4 season. Just stating facts. I misunderstood your response to D4H. Apologies.
