Tough crowd !

I also remember many of our star players who didn't show up until late in their careers.

I seem to remember that Peerless Price didn't do much until exploding his senior year.

I am a wealthy oil tycoon, 29 years old, and have seen many football games in my day. I can assure this much about UT football next year:

1. Zach Rogers and Rajion Neal have no business being compared to Robert Meachem and Travis Henry.

2. Poole's first name is Tauren, not Taureen.

3. Many of those who work for the NCAA are human. Many members of UT's coaching staff are also human. This common ground should definitely help our cause.

I'm going out on a limb and saying that he was talking about Da'Rick... not Zach. And it's much easier to compare names in hindsight.
By the way, I'm 25 and a drunk.

I love how no one can post a thread on this board without getting flamed in some way. why can't people just focus on the topic of the post rather than go out of their way to be a jerk to a fellow fan? This board is getting out of hand with this crap. Btw op, good post. Sorry people are going out of their way to be jerks.

I am a lawyer, 56 years old, and have seen the good and the bad for UT football. I can assure 3 things about the next year of UT football. I hope the young guys on the board read the first comment over and over....

1: 18 and 19 year old kids are not supposed to be stars. Too many posters are writing off people like Neal, Hughes, Rogers, etc... because they didn't change the world in their first 2 seasons. Well, let me remind you of a few more who didn't light the world on fire: Travis Henry (4 Total Yards as Freshman), Robert Meachem, Dante Stallworth, John Henderson, Albert Haynesworth, Jason Witten, etc... I could go way back but these are just a couple recent vols who took a year or two to develop. Heck, remember a guy named David Pollack for UGA... Didn't even step on the field until his second year.

2: Taureen Poole will be the starting running back and that's a good thing. This guy ran for 5 yds a carry and 1000 yards behind an anemic passing attack and the worst oline in 2 decades. There is reason why players wanted him to start over Bryce Brown and there is no way in HELL Marlin Lane will even push him. Neal has some ability and could be a player at some point, but don't expect too much this year. Also keep in mind that Poole was injured for a couple of games.

3: Concerning impending sanctions: Dooley is god-sent. I can assure you lawyers and those who work for the NCAA are human. Dooley is already recognized as a class act and his image will undoubtably help our cause (not that I think football punishments will be severe in any regard).

Welcome to Mcdonalds..may I take your order please? State your occupation or you can't be taken seriously. I feel your plight bro but it is a free message board so take some of these posts with a grain of salt. OP had a great point and post but don't let some ignorant posts take away from the reason your here. It happens, I find myself doing the same thing right now. :peace2:

Well if you're a lawyer, then I already know you just told 3 lies. :peace2:

Dang, I thought this was the jerk olympics tryout thread.

:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

Well played H!!!!

I'm not a lawyer but I've worked with contract law for yrs. Most of you have no clue what the law means or does for us in America every day.
And, by the way, most of you can kiss my Orange A**

Team Big Orange,

The relevance of posting that I practiced law was to qualify the 3rd comment about lawyers being subject to human appeal. I was not trying to be arrogant about the profession. Heck, I didn't even like working in law!

Currently, I coach youth soccer, don't make any money, and do not plan on starting another firm... Does this new information now make the post better?

Jay Graham is a perfect example of a guy who didn't develop right away.

Hey, I think this was a great post at a time when we all could use one. Got to have some daylight at the end of our tunnel without it being an on-coming train. Most of us aren't lawyers, but many times seem to play one on this board. With all that's happened with Kiffy and CBP lately, having CDD and staff's high marks from recruits and parents is truly refreshing. If he can turn things around, and do it the way he appears to be doing it, it will go a long way to improving UT's rep. nationally Sure, we all want winners in all sports, but right now we NEED coaches doing things the right way even more. Will be 59myself in about a month, so I sure am pickin' up what you're layin' down. We fans are VsFL, too.

Mostly a great post, but I call BS on the highlighted portion of point #3.
