You mean where 247 said both low 3* are very underrated?

The 2* QB who was offered by Bama and bumped to a 4* on ESPN?

The LS who is a huge need?

The QB didn't attend Rivals camp that probably has a lot to do with his low rating with them. I don't know of one Long snapper who was listed as a 5* recruit lol. If the op is b!tching about CBJ recruiting he must have been a pleasure to be around in the Dooley days

I can't be the only one startled by all the three star takes at this point. What's goin on?

i for one TOTALLY agree with you. The history of UT football is full of very highly ranked prospects...take the last class of 4 and 5 star players for example....Kiffin brought in the likes of Brice Brown, Nukeese and Janzen Jackson who went on to do .......never mind.....sorry i was having a delusional flashback thing....my bad..

Wow I did not expect to be called a troll or douche for wanting the best players to win. You guys are harsh and almost like a cult the way you gang up on people. These guys NEED bumps in ratings or it is a mental barrier for me and many others. Just something else I have to worry about during off season.

Along with two low rated 3 *s and a two * QB. Also a three * running back and 2 * long snapper.

Most people have our qb as a 4 star. Kid is top notch. He's only ranked low because he missed last season with an injury.

Picou is a 4 star on 247.

And incase you're unaware, they don't rank kickers or long snappers as 4 or 5 stars.

Quay Picou is a 4 star by 247. Austin Smith was called by an analyst perhaps the "most underrated prospect in the Southeast". Joc Bruce has got talent, heart, and is a local boy. Sorry but this won't be a top 5 class. Top 10 is very much in the works though.

Does this help your mental barrier for now?

I think it's more you NEED for them to have a bump in the ratings. Our guys are fine as is.

I knew, as soon as I saw the thread title, that this was a must read thread. I was not disappointed.

Worried because a LS is a 2 * ................. :eek:lol:

It's easy to get caught up in rankings but if you're questioning whether or not a guy is good enough for our team based on the amount of stars beside his name you're putting someone like we$ rucker's opinion over butch's. Just slow down and think about that.

Thanks bro. I just have higher expectations then most on here, expectations that UT should and can surpass. I want 4 and 5 stars.

I know. Our coaches, who are coaches for a reason, can't evaluate talent better than people who have never coached. You're right, bro.

You're missing the point... It's not about what the Wes Rucker's of the world think, it's about getting the best players we can to win. You really do need to relax, Butch and Co. have got this. Those super classes you refer to in the early 2000s didn't exactly pan out if I remember correctly and there are some VERY good FOOTBALL PLAYERS that have committed this year. And your 5 stars are coming in Gibson and KM.

(football players is in caps to point out that they are ballers and I'm not yelling)

:peace2:

I hate when the FF gets brought into the RF.

By the way, former 3-star Johnny Manziel says "Hello".

Which 3* are you talking about exactly. The majority of our committs are a 4* on one of the services. You know that right? Smith will be one before its over, the DT we just got is a high 3* and 4*and depending on the site. Dormady is a 4* on Scout, ESPN, 247 composite and betting by seasons end on Rivals. So which recruit(s) is your issue with?

Your observation was fine. We just have a bunch of kids on here that don't know how to behave IMHO. I do believe most of these players will get some kind of bump in the rating services over time. Time will only tell if Butch knows what he is doing but I am placing my money on Butch. It's all good.

Mike Evans says hello too.

6 out of the first 15 picks of last year's first round NFL Draft were rated less than 4 stars coming out of high school. Several were 2-stars.

So again, stop star-gazing like all of the other mindless fans and go back to the Football Forum. If it hurts too bad to not have enough stars, go to therapy.
