Man this could get so confusing it hurts my head. So what are the rules to deciding a 3 game tie break.

If were in a 3 game tie at the end, it could be:
Vols
Gators
Bulldogs

Or
Vols
Gamecocks
Bulldogs

Or maybe something else?

i think the cocks, vols, dawgs one we would win because we beat them both i think all of the others would be who had the least amount of losses in the sec east then idk after that

Vols
Dawgs
Gators

..one could all be 4-1 east/1-2 west. What about that one? Rankings?

I think after eastern division losses, it's the team that ranks highest in the BCS. At least, that's how I remember it working out when we were in at 3 way tie for the division in 2003. I'm probably wrong though.

Vols are the only East team controlling their own destiny. They win out, they go to the dance. That's a BIG if! UGA depends on Tennessee to drop a game (which they may very well do).

Here's something to chew on...Vols win out and then by some miracle win the SEC Championship. That means a team with three losses would play in a BCS bowl. While I believe SEC is the toughest conference by a biiiig margin, it seems like a weakness for a three loss team to have a shot at playing a BCS bowl.

Pass the popcorn, this is gettin' good.

I think it only applies if a team is in the top 10 or 15.

Most likely this year, only 1 SEC team gets a BCS bid. The loser of the SEC Champ game won't.

What's interesting to me is that every team from the east is still a mathematical possibility. Yes, if the stars align in just the right way Vanderbilt could make it.

Anybody hear think Fulmer and company will be able to take care of business against Ark, Kentucky, and Vandy?

all things being equal, with no tie breakers from conf. w/l, head to head etc....then it goes to the team with the highest BCS Ranking, like it did in 03 or whatever, and GA got the nod.....

Didn't seem to hurt LSU in the 2002 Sugar Bowl

I, for one, will not be exactly cheering for Bama this week...but i might not exactly be rooting for the bayou bengals to smash the Tide. OOOO a rematch would be soooo sweet

I'm not trying to be negtive here, but what if we lost to Bama twice in one season? Would that be sweet?

Let's say we lose to Kentucky, is there any way we could still reasonably make it in the SEC Champ. game?

Yes. If Kentucky, who is off this week loses @ Vandy or @ Georgia before beating us
AND
Georgia would lose at home next week to Auburn or to Kentucky the next week
AND
If Florida loses against Vandy this week or @ South Carolina next week...

Tennessee would play in the SEC CG if they won all other SEC Games (Arky, Vandy)

Hold on I thought Florida plays South Carolina this weekend? If so theres a very good possibility that the gators go down again. I do think Georgia will choke after coming off a BIG Florida win (I think they will still be celebrating.) and Kentucky well we'll just have to see.
