Bama fans expect everything to start going perfectly now. If Bama doesn't win 9 and beat Auburn, there could be a mob hit placed on Saban.

That's probably the only way they could get him out of there at this point. They're pretty much married for the next 8 years. Actually, I think his contract is longer than that.

They're probably paying the Bear's descendants a ton in royalties for all of the associated merchandising. :birgits_giggle:

While we are on the subject of Saban and Alabama, a sports radio host on ESPN radio in Miami ripped Saban the other day for returning to South Florida to recruit. Best I can recall: "How dare he put down our area...'I don't like living in South Florida. My wife doesn't like living in South Florida.' How dare he put down our area and then come back and try to recruit our high school kids?" The host then urged area high school coaches to refuse Saban access to campus. I'm not sure it will go that far, but it was said on the air that at least one local coach feels the same way. He also said that Saban approached a Miami verbal and asked him "if his heart was in Miami." It was an entertaining discussion that got me fired up on the drive home.

He's just trying to do what's best for those kids and get them out of south Florida and bring them to the beautiful state of Alabammy.

:post-4-1090547912: I have a feeling you believe this. Nick only does what's best for Nick.

A regular saint trying to keep kids away from hot chicks, the beach, and a great night life.

What's with the goofy Get Lucky in California commercials. It sounds like they're trying to rip of the Vegas tourism people.

Reasonable fans know it'll take a couple years to compete with the big dogs...of course that doesn't mean we can't pull an upset now and then.:)

I wouldn't say Saban is untouchable...

Saban is only untouchable until the season starts and he actually has to start producing on the field. If his guys don't get it done, then he could be on his way out of there much more quickly than expected. But then again, he could bail out on his own for some other job pretty easily as well, as we have seen the last few years.
