Has there ever been a time when winning consecutive a National Championships in Football, Men's basketball, and Women's basketball has ever been more likely? And even a 4th softball?

Even in 98, Peyton was gone, and the men's basketball team playing not so good.

The 2 basketball teams are are obvious contenders and have already done most of the work. And with football, we have a coach who has done it before, is one of the most winningest to coach the game, and showed sparks last season by making it to the SECCG.

We got top seeds going into both basketball tournaments, and with football we are a Florida win away from making a talented team, a talented team of believers.

Just a thought.

Ohh has this been asked a million times already? I have not seen it, sorry.

And no, I was talking about the NCAA tournament.

On a slightly more realistic, yet still related, note...has there every been an athletic department with active football, basketball, and women's basketball coaches who all had national championship rings?

The closest I can think of off hand is Florida and UConn. Florida with both mens basketball and football and UConn with both mens and womens basketball.

That wasn't the problem.
he was responding to my question about the SEC. My question was a nice way of asking whether he realized that we retained CPF, which makes one third of the deal very difficult to imagine.

Lawgator, is it a bigger of problem as calling the TN - Memphis game a game that no one cared about, or less?

Jay, definately related - if Pearl gets it, we will have three active coaches with rings. No other program has that.

If you are doing 2 of 3 Put UT in that list, Pat Summitt and Phil Fulmer

It depends on what you are talking about. If we are only talking mens and womens basketball and football, then thats probably right.

I already confessed being wrong about that.

I saw no problem with your confession.

But your original post I saw a big problem with, I am just asking if my post posed a bigger or smaller problem than that one of yours.

:)

Put it this way:

The odds that UT will win the NCAA tourney this year and then win the BCS in football are roughly infinity to 1.

And that's if you are only 3 to 1 to win the NCAAs.

Uh Pearl won a Championship at Southern Indiana.

That is not what I asked. I asked if there was ever a better opportunity.

But you did answer my other question indirectly. Your post about the TN - Memphis game not mattering to anyone outside of TN was a much bigger problem than my post.

I think the Vols have the best opportunity to win 3 consecutive NC's than any other time in my lifetime, regardless of what a gator fan thinks.

Yet our odds are still higher than Florida's. Enjoy the NIT.
