3 Coaches

That’s not saying much.

Freeze is a great offensive mind that knows how to win in today’s football.

Miles is way out of his prime now.

Maybe Freeze would do well in Knoxville. Maybe not.

How many division championships did this great offensive mind win in the sec? Conference? National?

What was his conference record? How many bowl games did he win?

I’d take LM’s track record over what I know about Freeze, even while acknowledging Miles is somewhat of a has-been.

One final question: were you all in on Gruden during the most recent coaching search?

Oh, there were Vols fans saying the same thing we’re hearing about Freeze. Never won anything.

The problem is that Mullen was bringing Todd Grantham with him. That was a solid duo to hire. Looking back, it’s a damn travesty we just didn’t offer Mullen 9-10 million to come here. We would have gotten him and blocked our rival from hiring one of their top picks. That’s worth the high cost alone.

Freeze - (59-38) without violations. (32-38) with violations. He never finished first in the SEC west. Only had "1" 2nd place finish in SEC west. Rest of it was 3rd, (2) 5th, and a 7th place finish. He went to Ole Miss from a "Sun Belt" school Arkansas St. after 1 year. He is at Liberty for a reason and that's to keep him out of trouble at the Baptist school. He sure is a homerun hire!

Umm...I am not sure that being at Liberty is the best place to keep anyone out of trouble, unless maybe you’re a poolboy.

I agree that the Freeze obsession is weird. Career 60% win percentage and his only conference title was, I think, one year with a Sun Belt team. Aside from a few big upsets he's largely middle of the road, and yet somehow he's the second coming or some nonsense.

The only real, bona fide, guaranteed game changer out there is Urban Meyer, and good luck (1) getting him interested and (2) outspending Texas if he is.
Because he wants to come here and 60 percent is better than the20 percent we are getting

Then why are we settling for Freeze? Why not make a blank check offer to Urban then?

Not sure how many times Urban has beaten Saban but I'm sure anytime he has his team was vastly more talented than Hugh Freezes Ole Miss squads. Personally I think Urban is a little overrated and his past assistants should get more credit

Wow that’s a rough stat. Is that before or after his wins were revoked?

After. He was actually 17-21, the 6-21 SEC stat after vacated wins was simply used by this person to bolster their argument.

not necessarily in this order but:

Freeze (Liberty)
Campbell (Iowa state)
Franklin (Penn state)
Herman (Texas)
Chadwell (Coastal Carolina)

These are the 3 best coaches for the Tennesee job if it came open this year. All of these coaches are hard workers, program builders, and proven winners. They have no previous baggage. They get the best out of what they got to work with. They don't have top 10 or 15 recruiting classes, they have players with chips on their shoulders that love the jersey they put on and get the most out of them.

Matt Campbell (Iowa St.)
Luke Fickell (Cincinnati)
Jamey Chadwell (Coastal Carolina)

I like the way you think. I don't know about Chadwell but Tennessee would be lucky to have Matt Campbell or Luke Fickell. Urban Meyer, John Gruden or any other TOP COACH, ain't walking through those doors. Fickell and Campbell can coach.

Campbell turned us down before. Home run hires at VT, Texas, PSU, and Michigan among others are struggling too. No guarantees.

I could possible be ok with Fickell on that list. He has had 3 good seasons at Cincinnati but would still need a lot to prove before he would be a solid hire imo.

Wheres the blue font?

No blue font required.

A: “We want a proven winner in the SEC!!”

B: “How about Les Miles? He has a winning record; multiple division and conference championships; and a national championship.”

A: “GTFO with that. He’s washed up. We want Freeze!!”

B: “Tell me more about his record in the SEC.”

Nobody wants to go back to his outdated offense.

Why hire another coach who can’t develop QBs?

We can land the Coastal Carolina coach.
Give him 6 yr deal for 20 million .
So that way when we fire 🔥 him the buyout will be cheap.

Kiffin
Allen
Freeze
Cambell
These would be our options I guess.
Would take any one of them. At least they all head coached at power 5 schools.
Can't say that about our last 3 dollar store coaches.

You misspelled Freeze 3 times, my dude.

It’s so bad right now, my heart says give me anybody literally with a Pulse and can speak English. My brain though, says no thanks to anybody that hasn’t been a proven Championship winning coach somewhere. In order to get said Championship winning coach then we’ll have to pay up and that ain’t gonna happen. Regardless, sadly, Pruitt can lose out and he still ain’t going anywhere unless he decides to. Fulmer isn’t firing his first hire. He’ll resign first
