3-0 to Start the '09 season

James Carpenter was the left tackle during the A-day game but the job belongs to 6-7 and 350 pound D.J. Fluker when he arrives on campus.

William Vlachos might be the starting Center. Carpenter coming from JuCO and William is a sophmore. Big shoes to fill from Caldwell graduating and Smith leaving early, Fluker wears a Size 22 so I think he will fill the spot just fine that Andre left. Who knows, they may move Carpenter to center. :dance2:

McElroy is the only QB that knows the offense well enough to start IMO. Darrah was alright but Jackson was terrible. Incoming freshman A.J. McCarron will compete for the backup job if they don't redshirt him.

One thing that seperates McElroy is that he will go thru his reads before tucking the ball and running or throwing it over the receivers heads. I know it was only a scrimmage but there was several times where he completed a pass to a 3rd or 4th read rather than looking for Julio to get open.

I will feel more comfortable about the O-Line this year when Fluker gets on Campus and starts practicing.

The Running Backs will have another stellar year with Upchurch, Ingram, Grant, Goode etc, etc... :) But one incoming freshman that will see some serious playing time is Trent Richardson, alot like how Ingram played last year.

The earlier poster who mentioned pounding running style, I bet you can expect that with the stable of 'backs that will be playing this year. Can't wait...

I just wanted to make note that I didn't read a single word of this post.

Yea, the truth hurts huh. You and all your lil vile friends know that Bama loaded up again this year and your scared. Not to mention that the 2010 recruits, oh im sorry, the 2010 COMMITS are lining up like crazy to play at Alabama and not Loserville for the Lollipop Guild.

1. You got a idiot for a head coach. 2. Your Starting QB really sucks, the best QB left the team and will win more games at UTC than UT will. I guess EB can play quarter back and hand off to BB.

I'm sorry, next time I will break out the construction paper and crayons for you KID. That way it will be in pretty colors so you will understand you pansy arse.

Note: BamaBass may struggle piecing together coherent thoughts, but he certainly is both cool and tough.

I'm getting dizzy from all of the childish attacks on my posts when I was trying to answer someones question about or o-line, or it could be the ugly orange hurting my eyes.

Well I hope you feel better. I would hate it if you had to leave.

A strategic loss where the Vol staff outcoaches UF but gets outmanned is more realistic than winning. Nothing is impossible but some things are relatively close. I hate UF with a passion... but they're loaded this year.

I'm NOT talking about a moral victory but a loss that you can build on... make it surprisingly close then sell kids on the quality of the staff.

If UT keeps it under 20, CLK's chances of getting recruits, surviving, and winning championships increase exponentially. If it is more than 40 then he'll have to be one of the greatest salesmen in America and even then he may run out of time before getting good footing on with top recruits.

If not a win, the game MUST be seen as more competitive than predicted AND as a "defeat" of the Gator intent to run the score up.

I just have a really GOOD feeling like I have not had in a long time even the Atmosphere at THe Orange and White Game was Different this year, and that Vol walk felt like the Good Old Days !!!! GO VOLS !!!!!

I had that same warm feeling, too. Then I realized I pi$$ed my pants.

I think the main thing is on the off chance we do manage to beat UF the rest of the season could still be wash. I just hope this year's team is consistent.

I dont expect to win the first 3 games of the season, I wouldnt be surprised (I would be sick) if we lost to UCLA and Florida.
