Next week will suck but at least I can enjoy the great opening of eyes for a week. But you guys are nuts if you think he's getting canned for anything but a complete meltdown 5-7, 4-8 year.


I, for one, can't wait for the impeding Gruden threads.

Perhaps it will be for the greater good if Butch goes 5-7 this year if we can throw the bank at Herman. Sadly we don't spend money on good coaches

The funny thing is that this is the first time we've been 3-0 since 2004. This team has looked so bad, but is still 3-0, in spite of the scheme, in spite of the coaching.

Easy pre-conference schedule and we still struggle every week. It's going to get ugly the next month.

I'm with you here but this is jus a dream UT will never spend $$ on a great coach or UT luck is just that.. Suckage..

Kiffen wasnt a bad hire, and he did well with what he had. He turned into an a-hole while here and a bigger one when he left.

Dooley, Dolley, doolittle. Well, thats a bad hire.

Butch isnt a bad hire. Hes given us hope, however, hes got a lot to prove. Hes done well, but we want great.

The next hire has to be great. We hadnt seen greatness since Cut left Fulmer.

Kiffin was a terrible hire. You mean to tell me hiring a guy that had in his contract that if USC wanted him he could walk no questions asked was a good idea? Also was it a good idea to hire a guy who was a complete failure in the NFL? No to all. Kiffin was a dreadful hire.

Then what happens. Another coach with a losing record gets hired. He nearly nuked the relationships with Tennessee high school football when he was recruiting.

Then a big east coach is hired. He brings a big east staff with him. He gets rid of one of the best OL coaches in the entire country. He hires a guy that has been overseeing a swimming pool instead of calling plays for some years. Butch is looking more and more like yet another bad hire for Tennessee.

Go look up some of the stuff said about him prior to the hire in Knoxville.

Why are we even having a conversation about firing Butch when his numbers are trending up, yet when Fulmer's numbers at the end were trending down, we had the blue hairs and Fulmerites fighting like hell to keep him on the sidelines?
