Everybody seems to think Pruitt's being coy or evasive. Any chance this guy is just a poor communicator...lol? He reminds me of my late father-in-law--why use 500 words to say something when you can say it in 50? ;)

Lol, seriously thought the exact same thing down to the father in law reference! What’s the point of him even doing a presser if all he is going to say is, “not consistent, making improvement and freshman haven’t been here that long....” we knew all that.

Don't get me wrong--I'm not bashing him...in fact, I hope and think he may turn out to be a great coach. I just think he's going to frustrate the crap out of sports reporters in Knoxville. I think he equates a press conference with a root canal or colonoscopy..lol.

Literally have y’all just started watching post practice press conferences? Is this any different than any other coach? Because it’s not, unless they’re morons. Do you think he should go out there and drop scrimmage stats and tell you exactly what happened?

He's the High Plains Drifter of CFB.

He might be.

Or he might be the Chauncey Gardener of CFB.

SIAP. I didn't see a thread.

Pruitt has his way of saying very little about individual players performances and he gives very very little information away at these press events, very very little....... I like it!

The ol country boy football coach only tells you what you need to know, doesn't he?

It's nice to actually have a real football coach, isn't it?

When Fulmer, Dooley and Butch gave no information, we whined and complained. If CJP doesn't win quickly, the moaners will surface quickly

Right, so why do we still even have press conferences after practices, scrimmages, games.... we learn nothing more than what we already know. Complete waste of time IMO, not just for us but all of college football and coaches.

Nobody knows what to expect from Tennessee. A first year, first time head coach, and people want him to come out and give up all the info on the team? Why would he? Most, if not all coaches, bemoan their team during fall camp. Even the coaches that win consistently never give out much information that you could take to the bank. We really shouldn't expect much info coming out from Pruitt.

Heard one a'ight slip in there. Hope it's making its way back into CJP's vernacular.

All the rest of that stuff, sounds like a no BS football coach who knows what he's doing and just what to say to feed the machine without giving anything away.

Yet they’re heavily attended and their threads are heavily discussed. 😏
