Hard to believe it has been 25 years since we played there.

Weren't we down something like 16-0 at the half in that one?

I just remember Andy Kelly going nuts in the 4th quarter, Carl Pickens making big catches, Tony Thompson over the top for the winning TD and Dan Dierdorf falling in love with Greg Amsler.

I hate to say it but I fell asleep during this game. We were getting spanked and showing no life.

What a pleasant surprise the next morning.

I was 12 years old and remember this game well. We trailed the entire game, and we scored the go ahead TD with about 30 seconds left. There were lots of exciting games in the 1990 and 1991 season. In 1990 we were a couple of plays away from winning a NC.

25 years ago I was huddled in a tent in Saudi Arabia trying to hear John Ward calling a game on AFRTS. It was worth it on both counts.

The people jumping on Aaron Medley would be had a seizure watching Greg Burke in pressure situations.

I remember it well, it was the last moments of the 1990 college football season. We have been in a lot of huge bowl games since then, but circumstances have not allowed us to be back in New Orleans, I miss it badly.

It was the 1991 Sugar Bowl where UT beat Virginia 23 - 22. Vols scored 20 points in the 4th quarter for the comeback win.

Thanks, I couldn't recognize the opponents' uniforms from the pic. Bet that was a great game, I'll have to try and find it on YouTube. Wasn't that Coach Majors' last SEC title?

The VA band was epic d-bag that day my friends. Their halftime "show" was made up of shots taken at TN and Elvis and I think old folks (I've fallen down and can't get up). I think that their band uniforms were t-shirts with a disparaging slogan while the POTSB was in their usual attire. Very Northwestern-esque.

UVA band is on the level elementary education.

They have done that before.... They did it against WVU in a bowl here in Charlotte a few years ago. No class.

As for the game.... Awesome. Great cap for that class. This was the same group that started 0-5 in 88, went to theCotton bowl the year before, and we beat a UVA team that had been #1 most of that year until an injury to the qb. Which he was back from in the Sugar Bowl.

Won't ever forget Tony Thompson over the top....
