25% capacity in Neyland per Fulmer

I guess it automatically drops to 50% to allow for blank rows, then maybe an empty seat between each group. Neyland seats are so ridiculously narrow that you might not even notice blank seats in some places.
Wonder if they’d install chair back seating to better ensure distancing? I could easily see people naturally spreading out without a person sitting next to them

I don’t think social distancing guidelines will be relaxed at any point this season.
Given the situations at Notre Dame and UNC I wouldn't be surprised if they get rid of attendance altogether at some point. I can already imagine enforcement being a nightmare.

I think we may see 50%
Those chosen must be fully vetted to make sure they are people who make noise, not treat a game like a lawn tea party. A decibel meter should be in hand at the gate to test fans entering the stadium. Also, do we screen out Rocky Top “whoooooers” or allow them in?

They are basing that on Neyland Stadium having 102,455 seats which it doesn't. I believe Deerpark said they cap tickets distributed at around 96,500. The 102,455 figure includes everyone in the stadium (concession workers, EMTs, police, ticket takers, press, etc.).
The total #s might not be correct but the % are in the ballpark

I’m guessing vivid seats will be the only site to buy and sell Tennessee tickets this year
Not sure from a technologial standpoint they can stop resales or limit it to certain sites.

As long as your phone has a valid code that can be scanned at the gate, you're in. They previously recommended you download the ticket and save it to your phone before getting to campus(likely because the bandwith around Neyland on game days is not enough already).

If we assume that approximately 15% (that might be a little generous) of available tickets will be earmarked for students and family and consider that 102,455 isn't the true count of seats, it seems as if the number of available tickets per game for fans will be in the ballpark of 20,000.

Dropping from ~97k to ~20k, and knowing that many of the tickets sold online don't typically come from the donors who will be selected to purchase seats direct from the university, what do you think the cheapest secondary-market seat for the home opener against Mizzou is going to run? I'd imagine it'll be over $500, and wouldn't be remotely surprised if it breaks the $1k barrier.

We have 8 season tickets, 8 chairbacks. Not interested in donating the $$$$ to get our name on a plaque. Interested to see tomorrow's email.

As a partner w UT, vivid seats was the only reseller to provide electronic transfers. If there aren’t paper tickets, that would leave them as the only outlet for tickets

Anyone thinking we'll get to anywhere close to 100% before a vaccine is widely distributed is honest to God delusional. I just hope we can continue to safely have football games, and our players and opponents are following social distancing.

I don't see why you can't do a screen cap of your ticket code and transfer that.

Hey Volnation. This Covid-19 is a pain for all of us sports fans. Im trying to see if i got legit tickets for Bama game on Stubhub. They said im part of the 25%. Thats good news. I had awesome seats for the first game which got canceled. Im having hard time getting my money back tho. They saying being stubhub they haven't got the notice its been canceled. They saying only postponed. Its not confirmed on there end its been canceled. I hope too see that Stubhub catches up with sporting agents. I know many are having this problem as well as I am. This crap got everything screwed up. No one knows crap. The UT Ticket office nor Stubhub. This is one big mess guys and girls

I was a season ticket holder to Tpac and for the Hamilton play in January they sent you tickets electronically less than 1 hour before play to prevent scalping. Others had to go to Will Call inside about 1 hr before play. They could make it difficult if so choose. Who knows?

Yeah I guess if that’s how all tickets will be this year then you could. I wouldn’t buy a screenshot of a barcode. Seems prime for fraud

Speaking of Stubhub, I'm wondering how this all is going to work. I sold a pair of season tickets on Stubhub back in March or so and wondering how that's going to work since, more likely than not, they won't be located in the same section, row, or seat. At this point I really would like to just opt out and roll my donation and ticket payment over to next season. At the same time, I don't want to be penalized (20% of the total sale) for not providing tickets to the buyer. ClusterF indeed.

Can you not refund the money?
