When I renewed this year, I called and asked, was told if something happened that donation and seat would go as a credit toward next season...it would be an option. Now, I don't know that that's what they do, if not, it goes against what I was told.

I just spoke with the tix office. The lady said that if we opt out this year, we would get our credit for next year. She said if we opt in for this season, we would habe option to go to all the games, from her understanding. She said it would be depending on the response they get from the 8/20/20 email.

Most that want tickets will probably get them. If close to 50% opt out, no opposing team tickets and students no tickets to very few. I’m addition, those that have more than 2 may see tickets reduced. That will solve ticket issues. Fulmer does not mention other options on purpose. He wants you to opt out and donate money. The email tomorrow will give you some options. I would read the last option first if you want money back.
On a side note, I’m not a big fan of the poor pitiful me Fulmer put in the email today. He’s taking a 15% pay cut. He will still make more than 99% of Tennessee fans. I made a good living before retiring and I’m not against anyone making money but not a fan of someone playing poor pitiful me especially when they are better off than most people.

Thanks for the update, yes, that's what I remember them telling me minus the details about opting in.
I won't "opt in" this year unless they can guarantee I have the seats I pay for...I don't think they will be able to give that assurance.

I'd wager to bet that as the season goes on, the capacity increases. There are some good trends going on with the case numbers. December a long way off yet.
Only problem is that season ticket holders need to understand what to do by the first game. Getting the refund in September doesn't help you in December.
If many take this option, it might mean folks like me, who are absolutely going to go to as many as allowed, will have more games to see.

Just heard that Bama is 20% for the season. Seems a little nuts to lock that figure in stone at this stage.

I guess it automatically drops to 50% to allow for blank rows, then maybe an empty seat between each group. Neyland seats are so ridiculously narrow that you might not even notice blank seats in some places.

What are everyone’s thought about the secondary market? Do you think tix will be in demand? Any chance UT restricts ticket transfers now that they are all mobile tickets? I have 4 season tickets and my donor rank is in the 8,000s so I don’t expect to really get anything this season.

I understand precautions during this time, but Neyland could safely hold more than 25% with social distancing. We are supposed to let them know tomorrow if we want to opt in or out. Then next week they will tell us about our options. I read Alabama"s requirements. It's rather involved. According to the CDC the numbers are falling. Let's see more fans on Rocky Top!!

The positive test numbers are overstated and ANY Deaths that can Possibly be Assigned to Covid ; Are. Manipulated numbers to enhance the fear factor. Without Cuomo sending positive Covid Patients into Nursing homes, those Thousands of Deaths would have been avoidable. This entire ordeal is a sham.

I don’t think social distancing guidelines will be relaxed at any point this season.

Not in the traditional sense since all tickets will be mobile this season. According to DeerPark, tickets will be able to be resold so a scalper could theoretically stand in front of Neyland and send them to your phone instead of handing you a physical ticket but I would imagine the scarcity of tickets rendering this fairly unlikely until capacity increases.

I think most game day scalpers are partially there for the tailgating anyway. So I would think most resale will be online

I was coming here to ask about that. I always buy tickets through Vivid Seats or rarely StubHub. I just wonder how that is going to work this year, I still very much want to attend at least one game this season.

I’m guessing vivid seats will be the only site to buy and sell Tennessee tickets this year
