247 All Time Tennessee Recruiting Player Rankings

Hard to say without inside knowledge what was the player being a bust and not grasping the college game or if it was a bust due to lack of coaching / development.

Seeing this list, I want to see another list...who are the all time lowest ranked recruits in UT history that became absolutely great players. I'm sure there's a walk on or two in there and some 1 and 2 star guys.

Dale Jones is a former walk-on. He's near the top of the list if not the very top.........

Of course they have similar results, the "recruiting services" are cheating of the coaches' test. I don't think you understand how this works. The recruiting ranking is based on who is recruiting a player. So the recruiting services are just picking the same players as the coaches. These "services" are not out scouting players or watching film. If a player is recruited by top schools he's a four star, if he is recruited by all the top teams he's a 5 star. Purely a marketing and media construct and useless as teats on a boar hog. Forget the stars, cut out the middleman and just look at who is recruiting a player.
