The game is on ESPN. Washington is up 7-0 with 2:10 to play in the 1st quarter.

Locker is single-handedly destroying the Beavers pass d right now. I doubt it's going to stop, so Quizz is going to have to start ripping off huge runs like yesterday.

Nor was I. Katz is still very capable of making mistakes on his own, that's a given. He's like a mobile Derek Anderson 2.0. This was supposed to be Quizz's statement game, however. But right now the only statement he's making is "overrated."

I remember in the offseason when most were lauding him as being better than LaMichael.

On their own laurels, I think Quizz is a straight-up better football player, and we'll be seeing more from him (and his brother) on Sundays. But the team surrounding LMJ and Barner is infinitely better than what the Rodgers bros. have.

Once a defense figures out Katz is having an off night, all they have to do is stake 8 wide in the box and stop Quizz. That's going to happen more now that James is out for the season. I meant it when I said it was a huge blow. James being out literally just took at least two wins off the schedule for the Beavers.

I really do. I've seen him in person, and IMO he is the best RB to ever strap on the orange and black. That includes Steven Jackson who I've also seen play in person numerous times.

You're embarrassing the Wheaton family, Markus.

Guys named Wheaton are supposed to catch things and score touchdowns when playing UW.

Yes. Evasive, low center of gravity pass-catching backs have been the key to Pac-10 championships for a long while now, and in terms of everything a RB needs to do to be that, I like Quizz's skill set better than Steven Jacksons.

Jacksons teams, however were the Dennis Erickson/beginning of Mike Riley rd. 2 era and had a lot more going for them on offense, had Derek Anderson, Mike Hass, etc.

Unless Ryan Katz gets his mind right and turns it on throwing the ball, Quizz is going to be the Beavers only real offensive threat for the rest of the season. He's probably going to get shut down most of the season and his career at OSU won't be on Jackson's level, but purely as a player I have him slightly above if not right there.

I can't decide who I want to lose in this game. It's like Alabama/UF playing for Duck fans.
