Probably time to let this one die a natural death. What’s done is done, and we can agree to disagree amongst ourselves whether it was necessary or not.
Agreed! None of our fans will ever agree on anything, so it's really pointless. I made my point for the very few wanting to keep Banks and that's all it was for. Half our fans want him back, then the half like me. I grew up in the Fulmer's years and got used to winning. Some are younger and only know mediocrity and are fine with it..Which explains a lot of our Gameday crowds sleepwalking through the games. I pray the mediocrity crowd loses out and actually gets to witness what others of us did

You're correct on the first part. As for the Fulmer years, I also witnessed them as well as the Johnny Majors years. What we are have seen during the last four years of Heupel(after his first season) is pretty similar to the first four years under Fulmer. Heupel has gone 11-2, 9-4, 10-3 and 8-4(so far). Fulmer went 9-2-1, 8-4, 11-1 and 10-2 from 93-97. Fulmer had Peyton Manning for three of those years.

I've had this argument with a few on here that last year's Defense numbers were a little skewed. Better than this year, but Banks got too much credit for a so called elite Defense. I was wrong about 1 thing, I thought GA had a better offense than they did, which they clearly didn't. And we gave up 31. Our schedule and the team's offensive PPG team rankings.

Chattanooga.. Average FCS team, rankings not included, but helped our Defensive Rankings.

Hell, our offense was #17, but was skewed because we ran up the scores vs bad teams, similar to what Alabama did. While last years was much better than any Banks has had here, it was largely influenced because of the horrible offense's we played. Hope this settles the argument with the handful that said I was wrong. Most did agree with me, these numbers should prove Banks caught lightning in a bottle.
Good work and that is what I thought too. So I believe with the Safeties being horrible(he coaches), not Spying Pavia in last game, not a good recruiter, could not tackle all year. You don't drop down from year to year because two top corners out, the replacements ended up being 3rd team All Sec by Coaches. I at first thought maybe one more year just to prove wrong. But, looking at the true numbers it is good.

Yep. I'll never forget the Florida game in Neyland where Anthony Richardson had yet to throw for a touchdown in SEC play. He then throws for 453 and runs for 62 totalling 515 yards against TN.
Reminded me of the Pavia game this year.
