Alabama drops to right in front of us. Both Texas A&M AND Oklahoma debut in front of us after beating G5/FCS teams. Iowa State jumps 6 spots for beating a Kansas St team that nearly lost to an FCS squad. What an utter farce.

We say it every year. No way they should rank teams until October; especially in the age of the transfer portal where it's so much harder to predict from year to year how the talent is going to shake out.

I think a lot of the poll is explained by what the voters saw on TV. They definitely didn't see our game, so we didn't move much.

Very. They’re not a top 10 team. Cant wait to watch them fall flat on their face. Clemson, SMU, and AZ state aren’t better than us either.

The stat that no one is talking about is that the supposed #1 team in the country racked up a grand total of 203 Total Yards in their game Saturday. I don't think anyone has any idea of what OSU is offensively. Too unknown to be ranked #1.

The whole AP poll system needs some tweeking. Yes it is only week 1, but the bias and hate is obvious. People by nature are prone to bias, but some of this is just nonsense. One writer talked about leaving Tennessee out because Syracuse scored 26 on us.... Syracuse scored 42 and beat Miami late last year. There really needs to be a system of checks and balances, like where each writer's picks are made public and someone....either AP writers, coaches or fans have ablitility for vote on their performance....and underperforming voters are replaced.
