I know and i’m sick! you have one of the most recognizable athletes on the world stage anyone and they don’t take advantage of it! By they I mean the track and field federation. THEN they do something as put the women’s 100 ALL on 1 day? That’s premiere event in the olympics… Just dumb the sport sabotages itself continually.

The women’s 100 all on the same day just blows my mind. How is that good for the sport? The times are really going to suffer. Just stupid.

Maybe one. But if we couldn’t be top three for Crittendon based on NIL as several assumed, is it practical for us to land more than one “portal star”? We got one this year in Barker but you could argue her production in college was not star quality. I’d settle for one high level player and one or two that are 3 and D types.

You really aren’t speaking truth about recruiting. The staff doesn’t have to build a team and waste resources just because fans think it’s necessary.
The coaches know what the team needs and how they plan to fill spots on their roster via the portal and high school recruiting.
They found the perfect fits in Minus and Edwards.
Landing Oliviyah Edwards the no.2 player move the needle in a way this Texas signing some people keep dwelling on doesn’t.
If Tennessee coaches felt it was worth it with any of these other 2026 HS prospect they would’ve approached it that way.

IMO we'll grab 2-3 out of the portal. 1 high-level player like Barker, hopeful a post. 1-2 more supporting players that are good shooters and strong on defense.

You don't have to buy a roster full to win... Get two highly regarded players and fill the roster out with solid role players... Teams don't need 10 McDonald's AA to win a Championship as some people believe...

Just admit it we ran out of money buy what we wanted. You have to be blind to not see we could have really used another big and 3 point specialist. We signed a bunch of good ball players last year not any super stars. I'm afraid we're going to find out we only have 7-8 players that should be playing against top ranked teams. ( If you want to win ) .

Almost all top MBB teams this year have a freshman as their best player. Assuming Barker and Cooper are gone, I’d take Edwards to be one of our two best players next year.

Like I said you can't handle the cold hard facts. You can't seriously believe we didn't want another one of those top ten players. If so you are delusional. Don't give me they didn't fit the culture because they didn't fit the budget...

In recent history we have landed Rickea, Cooper, and Barker - these are elite portal additions IMO. The top 10 players in the country aren't going anywhere if that is all that you consider elite.

We I’ll need to land a Rickea type player in the portal, maybe 2 of them. I’m talking about Championships, not just being middle of the pack in the Sec. let me slow down, I said I’m saving my rant for the end of the season.

Rickea and Cooper, sure. Barker still has outstanding “show me” but the flashes are there. She’s willing to dive to the floor for a loose ball. Well below expectations has been Jersey. Plays soft.

Depends on the year. 10ish in MBB this year, fewer in ‘26. In WBB, normally only 3-4 “game changers” to use your term. But top ten is a good rule of thumb for difference makers on a team meaning being one of the top 3 players on a good team.

We I’ll need to land a Rickea type player in the portal, maybe 2 of them. I’m talking about Championships, not just being middle of the pack in the Sec. let me slow down, I said I’m saving my rant for the end of the season.

I'd like to see Fulwiley transfer and play in our system. Were going to have the money to interest a player of two if Cooper goes Pro and all the ones out of eligibility. We should be in line to get three really great players if there are any in there that fit that description.

you have to wait to see how players develop this year. it’s way too early to know how any of the freshman will pan out or who across WBB will have a breakout season. it’s a long season for a reason.
