2026 Winter Olympics

Have I missed a thread on this? No one cares about hockey, luge or curling on Volnation?
I enjoy the Winter Games. It’s amazing how many athletes I see messing up in big situations. Obviously, Ilia is the big one from yesterday, but he’s far from the only one. Our mixed doubles curling was in a pretty good spot in the gold medal game until 3 straight poor shots doomed them.

The judge controversy in pairs figure skating was crazy. Always have to have one of those.

I almost started a thread yesterday. Glad you did. I haven't watched much yet but I'll plan to check out some of the hockey games.

Casper on the men’s curling team isn’t clutch at all. Every time I watch he is missing on big shots.

I’m a fan of alpine skiing, if only for the scenery. But the sport itself is crazy how fast they fly down the mountain.

Speed skating is cool.

I wish there were Americans who were good at Biathalon because that would be pretty fun to watch

I like watching the Olympics. I watch it all. But the judged events drive me nuts. Give me luge and biathlon all day over figure skating and big air. And why the heck does ski jumping have a judged component anyway?

The bobsled competition yesterday has been the highlight for me

I don't care if two-thirds of their medals are from cross-country skiing or another event that involves it...a country of 5.6 million people (Norway) winning 37 medals and 17 golds in a single Olympics is pretty impressive.

Peacock has hurt the Winter Olympics experience. I’ve only been able to watch a few sports. I usually enjoy the head to head competitions like cross country skiing and hockey. For the most part, the only thing on cable has been figure skating, curling, and jumping.

Not sure what Peacock is broadcasting.

Most everything I've seen was broadcast on USA or local NBC. Do to the time difference NBC Primetime is stuff that's already happened.

Peacock has everything available for streaming, but it’s a separate subscription. At most I’ve seen 3 simultaneous events on cable with no rhyme or reason to it.
