Bishop has some upside, but his lack of aggression driving to the basket, defensive lapses and careless fouls, and poor free throw shooting limited his impact. Compared to others, he didn’t consistently influence games, so it makes sense he’s lower on the “most missed” list - I would rank him second to last (above Clarence Massamba). Wish him the best.

I think it is very important that he got players the fit the culture, not just having talent.

Also, I think he built a team, not just a collection of mismatched parts.

No way to know how it will all play out, but I think he is giving it his best shot.

Honestly, i expected a little more media hype outside of our local guys. Is it because we don't have any returning production and our entire team is transfers and freshmen?

I mean we have made 3 straight elite 8s. How many do we have to make to be respected?

Right, I think that particular family feels he was disrespected, is all I was saying. Doesn’t make it true. However, I think it’s certain that it was made clear that either his minutes were going to be reduced and that he would not be getting paid what they wanted. So I’m just saying that I think it makes sense how they have responded.

That's probably fair. Boswell may have felt he was pushed out based on the number Barnes gave him.

I can see Rick slowly sliding a folded piece of paper to Boswell with a smirk on his face, and on the inside it just says "nothing".

There’s not a ton but most I have seen have us between 10-15. Jon Rothstein updated his this morning and has us at 10. Garry Parrish has us at 15. Whenever Bart Torvik finally gets updated, we’ll probably jump from 22 to 13-15 I would expect with the Juke commitment. I think Top 15 is right for this team.

Fwiw betting markets, which carry a lot more weight to me, think much higher of this team than 13-15.

OK, that’s good to know. I could’ve sworn I saw some of our insiders say he officially burned the option to come back. I’m glad to be wrong, but I can’t see him returning anyway.

On paper I agree, problem is Barnes has been great bringing in 2 or 3 guys to compliment his core team, this is a first where Barnes kept 2 and everyone else is new and with that unknown being factored in a meaningless preseason rank in 13-15 range is fair.
