2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

Thiam is not overrated. I saw him dominant at Kansas with lifeless players on his team.
Bad fit for our roster. I don’t want an inefficient primarily post up player (under 1 PPP) clogging the lane for our guys that can drive the lane.

Do think he’s a bad player. Just don’t think he should be the target.

Lue and Hastings are not moving this team up to a contender. A lot better post players than both of those guys. Brown is better than both of them.
Based on the bigs who are listed as targets on this thread, I prefer those two more than others. Bamgboye is probably #3. We need more depth in the post. I like Brown but its undetermined if he is better. All 3 offer different skill sets which are preferable against different opponents.

UT isn’t going to get either Diop or Thiam who are probably the top 2 centers in the portal. I don’t know all the bigs in the portal but am open to change my opinion for any new possibilities the coaching staff brings in.

99.1 evening crew, who I often find to be relatively uninformed cretins, said this afternoon that Juke and Haralason have the same agent, and implied there's a connection as to him not signing yet, and Michigan according to them "throwing blank checks" at Juke Harris to get him signed. I got out of the car before they elaborated further.
I would first need to know how they know who Haralson’s agent is. Since he and his family have purposely requested schools not to disclose who is representing him.

Said another way, the link they are suggesting is a “nothing burger”

If we land another good or at least productive big and Juke, I will feel like the roster has the capability to compete with any team in the country. Without Juke and Rubin/Brown being the main big guys, I’m not sure I would consider it a championship roster. But guard play should still be good regardless.

Both are overrated imo
Wasn’t there something about Diop and Thiam having “handlers” or something like that who had to be included with them as some type of package deal which upped their price tag and complicated pursuing them? If that’s the case, may be why they’re still on the board? Anyone know anything about this?
