Hype from performance in March? In the NIT? I think his hype comes from averaging 21.4 PPG in the ACC. He didn't have a single game where he scored in the single digits. Scored a high of 38 points too.

Imagine thinking Juke is being hyped just because of "what he did in March."

He scored 31 vs. NC State and Cal both. Scored 28 vs. both UNC and Miami. Scored 26 vs. Texas Tech. Scored 25 vs. Louisville and 23 vs. Duke. Scored 19 vs. Michigan and Vandy both.

Only one of those games (Cal) was in March. The rest were in November through February. So he literally did it all season, and he did it against the top end competition they faced. On KenPom, all his shooting numbers were BETTER in "Tier A" games than his overall season averages.

As BTO said, we didn’t seriously pursue him. A few pages back, BTO posted a list of bigs we are entertaining. One of them, 6’9”, 235 lb. So. F Braedan Lue from Kennesaw St. is on campus today.

We already have final four potential even if Nate leaves and we miss on Juke.

Hope so, but that remains to be seen. No telling how well this bunch will mesh. Adding this many new faces is always going to come with some risk. My hope is that Barnes knows the "type" of player he wants in his locker room so I'm hanging my hat on his assessment....not that he's perfect at it, but more often than not, he won't bring in a guy who might spoil the apple barrel.

That report is wrong. Someone I know close to Florida situation said it was a little over 4 and several articles show it at 4.

That's what I figured it was a misprint but 247 sports posted this and I was like WTH no way Haugh got $10 million nor does Florida have that kind of money to spend. Miami I could see it but not Florida.

I have a feeling this is Barnes last year, and we are giving him every resource he needs to make it to the final four. Hopefully we can afford Juke in the bidding war. That is the last piece of the puzzle. I'm not concerned about a center.

Word I’m hearing is that Ox is not interested in pursuing a 5th even if this happens. You saw a bunch of seniors entering the portal. I’d have to think if they grant this exemption, they’d have to grant a waiver. I’m completely against this rule. You can throw out all records.

I’m not trying to be disagreeable, but is where you are getting this “word” a trustworthy source? You seem to be the only one saying this about Okpara.

Would this open up another portal window though? Gillespie and Okpara never entered the portal in the first place, so I wouldn't think they would be able to go anywhere else.
