2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

A LOT of reporters make assumptions based off of message board rumors including Basilio then report them as facts
Maybe, but what assumptions are being made by Joey? He reported that TT did not enter the portal. That’s a weird thing to report on if there wasn’t rumors or whispers that’s it was a possibility.

I’m not really interested in debating the definition of “great” either. The numbers are interesting and I think they kinda agree with my impression from watching the games. That little jump hook is reasonably reliable and very valuable when you have 2-3 other guys on the floor who either can’t or won’t score, but it’s not some kind of super power either.

We lost a offensive big...not sure why people wanna tear every player that leaves down. But honestly doesn't bother me much.

This is the best portal class we've gotten under Barnes...doesn't mean they'll be as productive as what they're replacing and it doesn't mean the team success will be as good either....but it's April I like being optimistic and positive. Having 11 quality players on the squad with 4 more spots available is a great spot to be.

3 am. Papermill Waffle house. I’m camping out back. There’s actually like eight other guys already camping here.

I'm really looking forward to hearing how Ted Hall covers this one.

"Nine-person basketball-related ritual sacrifice at local restaurant -- how far would YOU take your Vols fandom?"

While prospects had until midnight to enter the portal, can't it take up to 48 hours for 'their paperwork to be processed' by their school? Thus meaning, there may be new portal entries as of late last night that aren't even announced until as late as Friday?

Anyone that paid attention his name was moved to the top of the center list last night around 9pm in the very first post on this thread of the list of targets.
Yes, I noticed this last night and suspected this was the intention.

Honestly, at this juncture and what we need him for, really like him.

He’s 6’9” 235lbs, All-Defensive team, blocks shots, good FT shooter for a big, and actually has shown a willingness and ability to shoot the 3 ball although I’m not sure how much he’d do it here. Reminds me of the kind of 5 men Houston has had in recent years, long arms, high motor, athlete.
Works for me

Are you worried about the height of the team?

Honestly, stock tends to go down the longer you stay in college.
Next years class is a weaker class. As to the “trends” you cite…although I don’t know it to be true, I don’t have any evidence to disprove it either.

Everything I’ve seen from pre draft grades, expect Juke to stay in college one more year. I believe the latest he would/could make his decision would be late May.

I like it.

Barnes satisfying that defensive talent itch? Hey, the kid looks versatile and makes layups....at least in the video I just watched. Wish he were a couple of inches taller tho.

Fine with this, watched him play live in the CUSA tourney this year and was impressed by him and the Kennesaw team’s physicality. Really still hope we have another more lengthy option for depth as well.
Very physical double double threat. Has a SEC body and is probably a more athletic Jalen Carey.

Great games last year vs Liberty and FIU.

I think he had a double double against WKU as well.

That's not quite what I expected. Not the block machine or size we've been talking about. Maybe he's long. Just need someone to spell Rubin and eat fouls honestly.

Meh.. rebounding numbers are weak for a mid major big… He is all around solid at everything else, but really good at nothing. I’d say he will be behind Brown and Rubin. Was hoping for a more impactful big but appears we are shopping at Save-A-Lot for that spot.
