Others might disagree, but I'd be fine with Carey returning. He appears to understand that he needs to up his game in every respect, and I'd be very surprised if Barnes didn't make that clear.

He was one who showed up in the tourney along with JG and Felix. If he focuses like he said, gets in shape and works hard the next few months on finishing and fts he can be a 10/10 player. Sometimes players just can’t shoot though so I don’t know if his fts will ever get better as he hasn’t improved over 4 years and you can’t have confidence as a player, teammate or coach getting the ball to a player on the post if everyone dreads him going to the ft line, including himself.

He was one who showed up in the tourney along with JG and Felix. If he focuses like he said, gets in shape and works hard the next few months on finishing and fts he can be a 10/10 player. Carey is a valuable body down low. Yes, he’s a below the rim player but he has the physical traits to bang in the paint. Can also draw fouls from opposing teams big men when they feel they have to match his physicality.
