2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

I think if he returns it will be a rate lower than he could get on the open market. I like his energy and fire, but if I’m Barnes I’m using him as a bench/situational piece even more to an extent that he did this year. With that role comes a price tag that isn’t as favorable to the player I would imagine.
Not sure what everyone’s been reading, but unless Barnes flat out cuts him i fully expect Carey to be back. And with how much Barnes played him in the post season, sure seems like he doesn’t dislike him. Lose 15 pounds (which Carey has said getting in much better shape will be his main focus in the off season) and this guy is like a poor man’s Grant Williams

The amount of fanbases on Twitter accusing Tennessee of cheating and breaking the rules because the portal hasn’t opened yet is just funny and highlights how little ball knowledge there is out there.
These kids have deals through their agents and the teams like Vols hoops out in front and organized.

Yes, but I was more referring to the fact that Lundblade is a grad transfer so the new portal window doesn’t apply to him. Most other fanbases don’t get that and just think Tennessee was stupid enough to break rules publicly before the portal opens lol.

Yes total agree. They were very organized and played by rules for him.

I wouldn't go that far with the last comparison but if he does lose 15 pounds then he will be a better player. I saw a guy who was a strong contributor in the postseason.

I know he's not going to do it, but he really should return. Teams picking in the lottery want alphas, especially in this draft. He was Robin this year, not Batman.

He may have played his way out of the top 10, primarily due to that late-season injury. He should ask for a few million, get stronger, and become an alpha in college.

Right now, his trajectory is to be on his second or third team before he finally becomes the player Barnes believed he would be.

This is a really, really bad draft to be coming off a "not absolutely dominant" season. And NIL money isn't much different than what he'll make if he goes in the teens.

I think people are sleeping on Henderson's shooting ability. If he goes somewhere else, we will be OK, but I think he could end up being our other big 3 point shooter in the future.

I wonder why he kept it a secret this year.

He shot well when he played. He played 6.9 mpg (nice) and was making 0.5/1.6 on average, which equates to 33% from deep. He had a good game against Mercer, then got off to a slow start as he was dealing with some shoulder stuff and then started hitting a couple here and there.
