2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

Interesting theory, but Haugh would probably be a 1st round pick. Why would he come back if he knew Golden was leaving? The others I can see.

He's the head scratcher... Haugh has absolutely zero reason to return to Florida/college at all. Already 22, had the best season of his college career, won a national title already...but if Golden bails he can go get a big payday in the portal too. He's also a huge Gators fan so he may simply want to get the max college experience and finish his degree before moving on. I don't know that he can help his draft stock...but I'm not sure he will hurt it either.

Ament needs to come back to school and get stronger and develop more imo. He is nowhere even close to being an NBA player right now with his strength and will get pushed around right now which we all saw he got pushed around at times in SEC play. He will be a very good NBA player with added strength no doubt and he is very talented no doubt but some of these kids want to rush it and aren't ready. I wish him the absolute best in whatever path he chooses.

Look at Keon Johnson, Springer and Chandler. None were ready and all 3 have either sat on the bench or bounced around G-League. I think Springer and Johnson needs to go overseas to savage whatever career they have left and Chandler just now finally signed with a NBA team but who knows if it will last long.
they could always use leftover eligibility at Tennessee lol

They would have been went undrafted entirely if they had returned.

Jalen Washington is in the portal.

Hamed Olayinka is in the portal.

RJ Godfrey is in the portal.

Alden Applewhite is in the portal.

Marquell Sutton is in the portal.

Ven-Allen Lubin is in the portal.

Seems like a bunch of seniors and/or bigs are throwing their hats in the ring today.

Wish we had clarity on the 5th year...cause honestly if Ja'Kobi and Felix stayed then you really are looking to just add 1 more piece (Juke or Nate).

NIL really has changed everything. These players can be the heroes of the campus for the same money as going in the teens in the draft. It's no longer an easy call to turn pro unless you're a surefire top five pick.

Im over Tanner. To much drama around one player isnt good for most of the ones watching and refreshing this page. I say take that money and put it on Juke and a solid couple of bigs. Would be a pipe dream to land Mossamba Diop but it would be sweet to have that athletic big to replace Okpara.
If anything there's been way more drama surrounding Juke. Tanner is still at Vandy at the moment. Juke has had multiple visits. Only drama surrounding Tanner so far is just message board stuff.

Idk but anything is better than ending up on Wizards or Kings LMAO

To me the best situation for Ament if he enters the draft will be to end up with a franchise like OKC, who understands how to develop kids and bring them along, as opposed to a bad franchise like WAS or SAC who will throw him out there and expect day one production on a terrible team.

IMO it should be as important for Nate to find out who has great interest as it is exactly where in the draft he goes. The ticket to that second contract is to be with an organization that lays out a plan for his development so he's ready to roll once he hits the floor on a regular basis.

Golden gonna go to Golden State anyway
You know, it’s funny: I’ve thought about all of these similarities between the Giants hiring Tony and Golden State pursuing Todd Golden. But I completely missed that Golden State might hire someone named “Golden.”
