Exactly. If you add those two, the players around them get a lot better just by association so you don’t have to have an all star squad. That’s why TT is so important bc he can make everyone better.

I was with you until there.

All 5 starters were transfers (this year, last year, doesn't matter). They have the most recent banner with a coach who UNC and others want/wanted.

That's who I'm most worried about.

I was only talking about distance at that point. Yeah, I think it is a very even battle overall.

Video looks like he’s playing against a lot of small, slow players; like high school. Obviously he’s in a different level of competition, which makes you wonder how he would adapt to SEC level play.

I think there is a lot of differences of opinion on him, but if he did that to us, and Barnes likes him, at worst he sounds like a great backup to Tanner, and/or at the 2.

Odd to post in here, but .....i disagree. I think GMAC starts the season as the head guy, but doesnt mean Faizon doesnt take over at some point in the season.

Well, I put roster construction under the heading of being a good coach, so in a sense, they are one in the same.

Some people here knocked his portal haul, last year, and all he did was guide them to a 1-seed. Yeah, they had a 2nd-rd flameout, but I judge teams more on the whole rather than on NCAAT results, which is sometimes met with controversy. But as it relates to building a roster and guiding them thru a season, he did an excellent job in running away with the SEC regular season title.

Expecting him to not build another contending roster and guide them to success again just seems like hope until we see him fail to do it.

Reading your post, I don't think we actually disagree. Regardless, I hope he is less good than either of us believe.
