Scrap it all. And baseball. And Lady Vols too. All three programs are now cellar dwellers moving fwd.We assumed they had this big plan and they don’t seem to be organized. No excuse to not have any top options in for visits this weekend. Hagerty to A&M is nonsense. Why were we not in on that at all?
Idk seems we try too offer little money but say we can coach you better than these other schools blah blah ... these kids want $$$ that's all its about now... either we put up or just get left behindWe assumed they had this big plan and they don’t seem to be organized. Good grief. I won't speak for others, but I am not suggesting it was a massive failure by CRB. I am just saying that it is hard to deny that these guys blossomed after their days at UT. It is OK to admit that. It doesn't make you a disloyal Vols fan. There are players that came into the UT program and blossomed under CRB. It's OK to a acknowledge that without suggesting that their former coaches were terrible. Players blossom in different programs for a variety of reasons: different philosophies, different schemes, maturity, different players around them, etc. So the same applies to players who blossom in other programs after leaving UT. And yes, Burns, Carr, and Awaka did blossom after leaving. If you don't agree then that's fine, we can agree to disagree.I'm just speaking facts. Awaka didn't turn into a magical unicorn at Arizona, he was the same guy he was here. DJ Burns was average as hell for 5 years and his team had a hot streak late in his 5th year. Carr scored hollow points on a team that didn't require effort on one end of the floor.
They didn't represent some massive failure by Barnes, which is what the post I responded to implied.
