2026 Vols Basketball Target List

Anyone got a 247 sub?

This weekend, Rippey gets his first weekend free of visits or hoops obligations. He's looking forward to kicking back before getting back on the visit trail. He took the time to discuss what stood out about the visits he's been on, what he's looking to learn on his final three visits, and how he and his family will process all of the information to come to a decision.

"Rick Barnes had a New York City guard in Zakai Zeigler, and I was very familiar with his game. We both played for the same program, the New Heights Lightning. I like how he let him run free, and I see some similarities in our game. We both like to pick up full court, cause havoc on defense, and get others involved. I like how they used Zakai for sure."

"I just have to talk with my parents and look at our checklist. We need to look at what we are trying to accomplish at the next level.

"Obviously, the key is to try and get to the NBA, and that's always been my main goal, but there are things that have to be checked off before that. I want to make sure what a school has in store for me is what I have envisioned for the next level, and I always want a chance to win."

I’m interested to see what we do with Cody Peck, scheduled to be here next weekend, sure seems like if we prioritize him he’s likely a Vol. He’s thin, but at 6’11” he’s really versatile and has a nice upside, he also likely wouldn’t have to play early here and thus would allow him to add some weight and size to that frame. Would guess he probably could be had for a reasonable price tag given his other OV was Dayton, and in today’s climate being able to land Top 100 guys for a fair price isn’t something you take for granted. Big picture, if you take him you’ve got a really nice foundational 3 man class that probably didn’t cost you a whole bunch, should leave plenty of room in the check book to be there until the end with a guy like Rippey, Sadler, Collins or Oladotun.
