Texas visit seen as a courtesy visit by some. The betting favorite is either Purdue or Tennessee. But none of the 3 would be a surprise. He has looked like he wants to carve out his own path away from did dad. But thinking about that and then ultimately carrying thru with that are not the same thing.

I acknowledged that I had heard that narrative was out there, but in the same post mentioned that it very likely was just to create some drama around his likely decision to ultimately just pick Texas in the end.

“I too have heard in the past when I asked that the kids and parents preference was for him not to attend Texas. With that said it feels like we’ve heard that before about kids and parents and usually it’s just to create some drama around their decision, and understandably so, who knows.”

I’ll be shocked if he picks anywhere other than Texas. Feels like you almost never see the kid choose a school different from where his dad coaches, especially if it’s a major program.

In the Scott article, he notes he wants to play for a defensive minded coach.

In the Ogden article (below the Scott one), he says Barnes is like a grandfather to him.

They may mean something or nothing, but those two comments struck me.
